Iβve been seeing a lot of anti-Nazi ones, which is great, but I felt like we needed one to show our support for the Jewish community. Β

Hajime Namiki was born in 1947 in Tokyo. He began his artistic career as a sculptor; in 1970s he learned and mastered the art of woodblock print. He follows the tradition of sΕsaku hanga, or the βcreative printΚΌ, in which the same artist executes the design, the carving, and the print itself (in contrast toΒ ukiyo-eΒ and shin hanga, based on the collaborative effort of artist, carver, and printer). In some of his prints, he uses golden or silver leaf in the background. NamikiΚΌs art focuses mostly on the beauty and majesty of trees. He pays careful attention to their shapes, rendering the intricate tangle of their branches with a strikingly precise design. On the other hand, by playing with colour and perspective, he transforms his works into oneiric visions.Β

βI always feel like Iβm struggling to become someone else. Like Iβm trying to find a new place, grab hold of a new life, a new personality. I guess itβs part of growing up; itβs also an attempt to reinvent myself.β

βWe cannot simply sit and stare at our wounds forever. We must stand up and move on to the next action.β

What if crocodiles had wings? Would that not be the ultimate animal!
They'd probably be smaller though, on average.

If dragons really existed I would have been a much happier person. That's all I'll say. It sucks that they don't. For me specifically.
