Regular reminder that you should not conceive late in spring.  (I’d just post this once after it’s been spring for two months, but every year I get someone telling me they changed their mind because they saw one of these halfway along, so…)  If your baby is born in summer, you will miss out on essential springtime bonding opportunities with your newborn and have long-term attachment problems.  If your baby is born much later than most of their cohort, they will lag behind in school, spring a year after their peers do, and catch more infectious diseases in their first two years.

I know if you have been hoping to conceive all spring and due to difficulties finding time with your partner, health problems, or other obstacles have still not managed it, turning back now will be hard.  But the happiest, healthiest babies are conceived within the first two months of spring, the earlier the better, and are welcomed to the world by their parents’ springtime selves.

Your sale of an aftermarket credit can help someone already pregnant who is in dire need and net you more than enough money to try again next year, with some extra cushion for your little blessing’s needs.  To sell the credit in a way that will preferentially direct it to charitable respite organizations: Tapa Anitam Cene international respite fund

A couple of people asked me this, and I’m gonna give a longer answer when my brain isn’t fried from coursework and reading EMOTIONALLY COMPROMISING FANFIC, 😅😅😅 @purplenalafe​, you’re breaking my heart!!!

But the short answer is: legal assistance! ⚖️

A lot of citizens don’t know how to navigate the court systems and it’s scary, especially in cities that have harsher sentencing. I help them understand what’s going on.  So it’s a bit of a blue-orange job, really!!

So what IS the moral thing to do if you unexpectedly find out you're secretly red? Not that I'm asking for myself or anything!

Firstly, uh, be skeptical? I’m assuming you mean ‘found out an ancestor was red’ and unless they’re literally right in front of you with red hair, someone having a psychotic break or playing a cruel prank, or an abusive parent trying to have another angle of control over you, is more plausible than actually being red. There are a lot of stages where it’d come out if someone were red and trying to hide it. This is so, so vastly unlikely.

But if you’re absolutely sure:

If you have the resources: purchase, outright, a house adjoining a red district out in the dirt-cheap middle of nowhere. Move there with affected family members. Hire the kind of lawyer who helps people who’ve committed a crime and want to come clean - you haven’t, but they’ll know how to protect your assets and how to make the police report properly.  They will go to the police on your behalf, explain that your family learned of a possible red ancestor and plans to quietly retire to this location to not touch anything while the police investigate, and secure assurance that no one who wasn’t involved in the coverup will be prosecuted, that the whole thing won’t make the news, and that you can retain your assets whatever the outcome of the investigation. Let the police do their jobs.

If you don’t have the resources: some law schools have free legal aid. Consult them.

My neighbor’s been away and I’ve been catsitting for her, but she came back yesterday. Too bad, I liked that cat, he’s… calm. It was a nice contrast from the internet. People on this site are often not calm.
