Thorns felt in my throat
Heavy as the pavements lengthen
The scorching sun on my back
Never have I felt so free
Free of contempt
Though in agony
Free of judgment
Though distressed
Discovered a song
I thought, “that’s me”
Deeply, describing me so
A worst case kid
Not entirely a song
But a tune
An anthem
As I stay
Ties tighten my wrists
Impatiently waiting
Papers on messages
Words starts to flee
Starting to wander
On platforms, so unfamiliar
Anticipation excites me
I want it to burn
Burn faster and faster
I wanted to run
Still, the waves stood
Glowing, as I rise
With the moon
Eye to eye
In the hearth
Beats of drums
Yet, still I stay
A piece in a pile
In place of puzzling minds
Forced
I molded
Left, bled dry
Turning from pages to pages
Ripped, torn, and shredded
Searching in this town
A plague pit
My lovely, comforting pit
A home
Once, I have known
Embracing silence
Darkened corpses engulf me
Slumber, as I’ve known
Oblivion approaches
Woke up drowning
In the same darkness I embraced
Tides swept me ashore
Met with a sweltering flare
Morning views
Trees tall as woe
Body, cradled by the winds
Mirrors clouded by flaws
Roses in the horizon
Such a beautiful thought
On this path
Remains a tourist
A heart so foreign
Only beats when lost
As I try to go
On this same path I walk
So thorny and confined
Bleeding no blood
Has never felt so forlorn
I, same a fortnight ago
Lay on the lengthening pavements
With the familiar scorching sun
This time, I face it
As a kid no more
Worst case, yes
But still free as before
