got the fish r2 yay!
Quick little video tutorial! This is a method I use to block in shapes when I’m fighting the urge to polish my lineart at an early stage, especially in rough concept art that doesn’t actually need polished lineart.
I group two layers in photoshop—a rough sketch, and a flat color—and then carve out the negative space by painting into a mask on the group, instead of filling in the positive shapes. From there I can start painting and adding shading into that group, knowing that I’ve already locked down a good initial silhouette for the object/character:
It feels like oil painting, and I end up finding silhouettes/shapes in a way I wouldn’t if I was obsessively cleaning up the linework first. Digital art has a tendency to veer towards cleanliness/polish, so I love finding little opportunities for happy accidents and a bit of mess!
I used it on my unicorn piece last month, for instance, which I think would have lost a lot of its dynamism and charm if I had worried too much about doing a full ink pass:
Hope this is at all helpful! It’s not a method I use 100% of the time, but it really helps move my process along when I do need it 👍🏼
I made an art/anatomy tutorial about birds! I hope people will find it helpful!

At least they were holding hands even in this parody 🤣
Guys, I’ve noticed that not a lot of hellspawn fans know the fact: Astarion can bite Karlach and drink her blood without any damage in the game. Yeah, that’s it. All u need to do is fix her engine in the second act, since she has a blue flame she will be drinkable. But ofc Karlach can not offer Astarion to feed him cuz this option was available only in the act 1. So you just have to attack her by bite as Astarion. In both playthroughs it is working. Enjoy 😄

Yep, got dragged in the angst again. Now, I’m invested in this.
Hello! just wanted to ask where you get your art references from?
Hello!
First of all - I'm so sorry for a possibly late reply ;w; but here goes the answer! Easy answer: I am lurking on the internet, I am looking at films, video clips, pictures etc. on any given searching engine/website. More specific answer: I am checking regular Google results This site for specific body parts: (x) These guys are legendary at this point (x) Pinterest but mostly for gathering the "vibes" of an artwork if nothing I find online suits my needs - I just use my phone and do a photo of myself or my surroundings And when it comes to commissions - I am often provided with specific poses, clothes or sceneries by the commissioners :)
I hope it will be somehow useful for you Anon! Have a great day/night 💖
So many of you asked for a tutorial on how I paint faces/ add a light source, so here you go! 😍 Let me know if you guys have any feedback or if you want to try it yourself! 💜
