Recalled to Top Gun two years after the Uranium mission Bradley expects to show up, execute the mission, get his accolades and then go back to the life he had built for himself. Wanting more had never worked out for him and so he had stopped trying years ago. But the mission is nothing like he had ever done before, and as they get pulled deeper into the mission he has to contend with the danger surrounding it and what it might mean for the people in his life. Especially since as he spends more time with Hangman he realizes that what he thought he wanted might not actually be what he wants at all.

Jake could see the sun before he opened his eyes, it shone bright enough it woke him up, a warm glow through his closed lids. The bed was warm, too, a nest of cotton softened and rumpled around him. He reached out, thoughtless, eyes still closed, to feel for the body that should be next to him but there was nothing except more soft sheets and the heat of the sun. Consciousness filtered in slowly and Jake registered the sound of material shifting, the slow release of breath, the slightest creak of a floorboard. He opened his eyes, blinking against the brightness before his vision focused.  Bradley hadn't gone far.  Next to the bed there was a dark mat laid out on the floor, and Bradley hovered over it on his hands and toes. His body was a long line of steady muscle from head to heels. Jake didn't say anything, just watched as Bradley exhaled and walked his feet forward until he made a perfect triangle; hands and feet planted, ass in the air, the tendons behind his knees taut.
