Buck smirked, crossing his arms and stepping closer to Eddie. "Alright, then," he said, his voice low and playful. "You wanna go for the title, Diaz?"
Eddie raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by Buck’s sudden bravado. "The title?"
"Yeah," Buck said, inching even closer, his voice dropping to a soft, almost teasing tone. "You and me. Let’s settle this."
Eddie's smile widened, and for a second, Buck thought he was actually going to agree. But then, just as Buck took another step closer, their noses nearly bumping again, Eddie let out a soft laugh and gently placed a hand on Buck’s chest.
"Maybe next time," Eddie said, his voice warm as his eyes flicked to Buck’s still-bruised and swollen nose. "When your face isn’t busted up." Eddie leaned in and, without hesitation, kissed Buck again—quick, soft, and full of affection. Oh, if Buck wasn’t careful, he could easily get addicted to the taste of Eddie.
