I love the detail of Abigail and Jack both being able to kill the men who ended the lives of their fathers. Abigail admits Hosea was like a father to her, and so it's fitting she the one to put an end to Milton, his killer. Same with Jack and Ross.

My brain can't fathom that you seriously got out of bed one day and thought, "Yeah, from now on, I'm going to run a gay racist fan page." Like...huh? Are you like...I don't know, stupid? I wasn't going to respond to this, but I'm getting more and more messages like this one here in my inbox. I didn't feel like responding to each message individually (so as not to mess up my blog), so I'll just paste few screenshots here. As you can see, we have a whole buffet here, for example:

Yup. This all came in the space of two days, as you can see, and there's more. So I'm temporarily disabling anonymous messaging and taking a break, because I don't feel like dealing with this shit.
I usually don't give a damn about hate, but the number of messages I've received lately is seriously not okay, and I have the impression that it's just one person (or at most maybe two or three folks?) who wants to spite me. I'm not sad or upset, I'm just surprised and confused that people write something like this to me anonymously, instead of just blocking me or filtering out tags they don't like.
So, to the dear people who took the time to air their grievances, shape them into a ball of resentment and anger covered in feces, and then throw them at me, I hope you're feeling better now and proud of yourselves. If you are feeling brave enough, you can reveal yourself in the comments since you have opportunity now, or write me a private message so that I can gladly block you instead (because maybe you just don't know how to do it or something) and relieve your eyes from the suffering they undoubtedly experience by encountering my posts. I hope the rest of your day is as pleasant as you are.

AND LITERALLY IN THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME THERE WAS A PHRASE ABOUT OUTLAWS
Those ppl are aware that their favourite characters also killed and robbed innocent civilians????????? Yes?
Like...my man, i have bad news for you, Arthur also killed people AND IF YOU SUDDENLY FORGOT HE BEATED THE MAN WITH TUBERCULOSIS TO DEATH. UH HUH-
There's no "good" or "worst" characters in the game.... They're all fucked up and that's the point.
It's crazy how ppl still separate characters in this game on "good" and "bad". Like...??? You really did missed the whole point of the game, did you?
It's not good or bad, it's about life that they lived, at what time, in what system and how it affected, and to what it leaded them. In this game there's no "evil for evil". It's not fucking Disney where characters can be evil just to be evil. Every character in RDR2 is fucked up for their own reasons. Because....life. Even Micah is not evil just to be evil, he's evil because the life that he lived and in what circumstances made him believe that there's no good in this life and the only "real way to live" is to be bad. Uh-huh.....
honestly like everybody is fucking bad 💔 and that's BEAUTIFUL because the characters are NUANCED. the game would be absolute shit if every character was just a perfect little angel 😭
So many people refuse to confront or acknowledge the themes of the RDR games, like at all. It's a game about outlaws, not some cutesy coffee shop AU where Arthur/John is just a tortured soul who did nothing wrong ever. The VDL gang are nuanced people, and that's interesting. Even the people on the "right" side of the law aren't upstanding people. Ross? Cornwall?
"If you like Bill, you must be racist!" Okay, I guess if you like Arthur, you support beating sick men to death over money they can't pay back. I guess if you like John, you support being a deadbeat to your son for the formative years of his life. See how irrational that sounds? You don't have to agree with Bill to like him. You don't even have to like characters like Bill or Micah, but bothering people who like them is genuinely so tiring. Arthur, despite what the fandom will have you believe, isn't a saint, and debatably isn't a good person, high honor or not. That's the point, he's nuanced.
While it's great to see characters like John and Arthur try to find redemption throughout the games, others, like Bill, Javier, and Dutch are interesting because they get worse. They're dark mirrors of our protags, and if that isn't interesting, I don't know what is. I genuinely find myself not wanting to engage with this fandom much because it's always the same people going on about "Ew, Bill is a bad person and if you like him, you must condone all of his actions", meanwhile these same people will make content about Dutch, Arthur, John, or whatever more conventionally attractive character despite them having their own skeletons in their closet.

So, "Adler" means "Eagle". "Colm" means "Dove". Micah is a rat. Eagles potentially prey and hunt both rats and doves. Sadie was hunting down Colm and eventually Micah.
I think Red Dead fans are quick to forget that they're a group of outlaws, and outlaws generally aren't nice or very moral people. I'm not saying their actions are justified, but I'm not sure what you're expecting from a gang wanted in 5 states. "Micah did this" "Bill did that" And Arthur and John are both mass murderers. None of the VDL gang's shooters are seeing heaven lol.
Need modders to make a mod that swaps Mary and Arthur out, since they parallel so well. Dutch's enforcer, Mary Linton, and fancy-pants Arthur Morgan.

RDR2 Interaction Ideas
Lenny, Tilly and Charles about maintaining their textured hair, and Lenny asking for tips. Charles doesn't have hair exactly like theirs, but if Lenny needs someone to help him cut his hair or if Tilly needs someone to braid, he's there. The women on camp pitching in to help Karen during the worst of her depression, making sure she's keeping herself maintained and supported.
Bill asking Javier to teach him some Spanish. Bill doesn't get very far before getting frustrated and quitting, storming off.
One night, Molly sings some Irish song to herself, and who else but Sean joins in. They aren't friends by any means, but she felt less alone that night.
Pearson begins teaching Jack how to play the concertina. Abigail loves it, because it gives him something to do, but John hates all the noise.

It's my headcanon that Sadie's maiden name is Adler, and Jake was the one who took her name, not the other way around.
Sometimes I feel like the leeway the RDR fandom is willing to give to a character is based on how conventionally attractive they are.
