— 「☯」 — The power of immortality, the enduring body surpassing any human’s strength had proven to be a tool of most value to the former, ancient ruler. Despite the near endless swarm of drones threatening to get in the prince’s way, exhaustion was stayed a foreign concept to her, even after hours of combat. People who knew her well liked to describe her personality as surprisingly casual, a grand, intimidating presence with a long shadow of devoted followers, though an easing humor with a cooperative reputation. As it was hard to grab her attention with miniscule issues people didn’t need saving for, her renowned strength and capabilities as a leader shown all the more when the world saw it’s end approaching at the speed of light. Old habits died hard, the resolve to protect and lead towards a promising future still lingering in the back of her mind, a sensation she had made part of her many years ago already. In the presence of a catastrophe of this scale, it was against her firmest conviction not to act in order to save lives, to rid even a rotten, clueless city like this one from the danger threatening to turn it into ashes.
Enemy after enemy, her sword pierced through the drones, a single slash enough to force the minor foes to give into her superior strength. Her goal had been the monster responsible for their spawns, though circumstances had led her off-track, and so she found herself too far away from the essential battlefield, where she surely could have contributed more. Initially, he had regretted getting distracted so easily, something so unlike the focused, clear head she usually gleamed with, though another strong desire had caught her interest. With her cape gracefully fluttering behind her, she flew between the remains of what used to be shops and apartments, houses and public meeting spots, grief momentarily tainting her determined expression. Not everyone was dead yet, and it was hard to make out the voices she was searching for between cries for help, or strong desires to die.
A couple of minutes passed, and then she halted, eyes catching sight of a group of what were at least 30 drones, determined to take down a single target who held onto her strength as much as her capabilities allowed. It was unnecessary to say that without a doubt, the crown prince had found her destination. Lasers rained down onto the battlefield beneath her, clearing her path in seconds, and allowing her to gracefully land on top of rubble she had left behind. Brushing the dust off of her clothes, it took her another moment before her glance finally met with the eyes of her target, eyes narrowing while a smile spread across her lips.
“I’ve seen it all”, her voice was calm, yet full of confidence, almost as if she was happy to see the young woman, despite them being strangers. “You have a strong wish to help those who can’t protect themselves. If that is the case, we should become allies.”
