There will be signs.
I knew they were never gonna mass issue that Sig battle rifle
HICARus flying too close to the sun.
I just won a bet that we'd end up just adopting an ultra high pressure 5.56.
I bet this stuff cooks at 3400fps from a 14"
I feel like "hyper" velocity should imply *at least* 4500 fps.
@recoiloperated I was hoping for 6.8 SPC
Tbh, a .243 or .25 caliber high pressure intermediate cartridge would be the best, it lets you get the heavier bullets, better BC, and better SD.
6.8x51 was chosen for pure SD. Theoretically, a S7 steel core 6.8mm has the SD to penetrate level IV armor.
.243 hits kind of the golden ratio between bullet size and cartridge volume for me. Like .338 in necked up .308 winchester.
You mean 8.6 Blackout? I've shot one of them. Hits like a hammer but really meant for being suppressed so not great for armor pen. Hell of a hunting round though. I heard the guy over at Q used it in Africa to hunt hippos.
Uphill, in the snow, both ways.
Yeah I never saw the video but my buddy who owns a 8.6 saw it so I'll take his word for it.
Just in case. Russian government standard GOST 34286-2017 for body armor defines the highest level of protection Br6. It must stop AP B32 bullet from 12,7x108 OSV-96 rifle at 50 meters without penetration.
