Least brain damaged orange cat
writing a thousand words in one sitting is great until you realise you’ve been sitting cross-legged that entire time and now your knees feel like they’re eighty years old
wish i was one of those women in vintage pulp horror art. tits out, drinking blood, bats around me, some scary castle in the background...
What colour is the Land Rover?
Black
Silver
White
Green
Red
Blue
it changes in my head
since getting into writing i’ve seen a lot more posts about the process of creative writing and storytelling — something that’s come up a few times is using characters as vessels of a story, rather than following fictional lives like a documentary.
with that in mind, i was mulling over my ideas for this potential third instalment and now i have three plot lines, each with their own overarching theme/message.
ETA: ofc they’re colour-coded in my notes :3
the human brain is so cool, if you're tired and stressed enough, your brain will go, "don't worry, I got you" and shadows will start moving
and what's the genital situation on the shadows
oh this is my post
it's not impossible that emily-louise david has a distant uncle who's an estate agent in balham
I loooove ominously giggling when I'm getting my friends into smth new. They ask me a spoilery question and I get to do this
me @ y'all's comments on Ao3
getting turned on by being understood
getting hot and bothered by not having to explain myself
following the haybale murder long form earlier i believe agricultural school was mentioned (titch went to horticultural school didnt u know), plus the vaguely west country accent from some characters.
can we expect any sneeky references👀
(i realise the story is pretty much written as far as i understand, but i will admit my first thoughts watching the new LF was how can i link this to the wychfield stories)
why, didn't you know the clarksdale place is nearby? /lh
my goal is to reference every publicly available longform, even if it's just a hint or a line of dialogue. i've already got a few lines of dialogue from the haybale murder that have slotted in perfectly 🙂↕️
I think something good is going to happen in November. Oh please be something good, Derek deserves everything 🙏
but also, the sequel launches in November so maybe that’s why? Idk but I’m excited
Chapter 86: Finally, Something Good in November
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
wee disclaimer so i don’t mandela effect anyone: emma’s surname has switched a bit from davidson to davids and back again — i’m gonna settle on david and update prev mentions accordingly x
"The magic system is never fully explained" yeah that's how life works. Imagine having a story set in modern day America and the characters have several pages of exposition on combustion engines and telecommunication networks before we get to the plot
i think this is absolutely correct and good writing advice but also victor hugo would like to have a word with you about the parisian sewer system circa 1832
victor hugo would like to have many words with you about the parisian sewer system circa 1831
spongebob is really patient with patrick i'm glad patrick has a friend like that in his life
Ao3 version that lets you open the 'director's cut' where I, the author, explain every detail in excruciating detail to you and what it is in reference to.
#it’s called sending me an ask and I tell you way more info than you actually wanted @newbromantics
