FOOTCLAN THANKSGIVING POTLUCK HEADCANONS!!!
It's Thanksgiving in Canada, and I have no art to post yet. So, footclan Thanksgiving potluck!
It was his idea to do this in the first place, mainly because he wanted attention for his "cooking skills". He brought bougie looking mac & cheese he found at some random grocery store, but he put it in a glass casserole dish so that way it looks like he made it himself. Everyone thinks he made it, and no one wants to try it because they don't trust his cooking. It goes untouched all night. After drinking too much during cards against humanity he takes it to his room and stuffed himself with it while crying over some reality tv show. He vomits it up because it was actually kinda shit.
Although he was aware of the holiday, he never actually celebrated it growing up. He was a poor street kid, so big celebrations like that weren't in his budget. It also isn't super popular in Brazil like it is in America, so he kinda thinks the whole thing is a little dumb; Especially since a majority of the footclan isn't American. But, he shows up anyways for the free food. He brings with him pão de queijo, mainly because he had the ingredients for it already laying around. Although it's technically a "breakfast food", he doesn't really care. It's pretty popular with most of it gone by the end of dinner. He saves the rest for breakfast the next day.
Although initially he didn't want to go, he forced himself to do it so "shredder won't have to endure this suffering alone". He ends up really getting into it though. He enjoys the "science" aspect of baking, so he decides to bring dessert. He shows up with a pumpkin pie, everything made from scratch. It's easily the best dish on the table, and not a bit of it is left. Baxter was beaming the entire night, despite Rahzar's dirty looks. He gets a little too tipsy on wine and calls Rahzar a bitch after he leaves with his fuckass mac & cheese.
They were in charge of the turkey, which was the first mistake made. They waited so last minute that every store they went to was cleared out of Turkeys. They spent hours looking everywhere for one, at one point chasing down a man who had one before realizing that the man was actually homeless. They decided to let the homeless guy have the turkey, and their moment of self reflection led them to a zoo. Yes they stole an ostrich. Yes they butchered and plucked the ostrich off screen. No they aren't sorry about it. The ostrich turned out very delicious, but everyone keeps asking where they found "such a big turkey" and "why they have so many bruises and scratches on them". They tell everyone they just got lucky and found it at the grocery store. Tigerclaw doesn't eat any because he (rightfully) doesn't believe them, but everyone else enjoys the meat. Very little is left by the end, and hachikō gets a nice big leg bone as a treat.
Rahzar told tigerclaw to bring something to "help everyone loosen up", so he brought a bottle of sake and some wine. Although he didn't actually partake in drinking any of it, everyone else did. He also slipped a small cup of sake to karai while shredder wasn't looking, because "she deserves to have a bit of fun too".
He's not one for parties, and his henchmen are pretty irritating most of the time, but he figured he might as well since Rahzar is hosting it in the footclan base anyways. He brought Nikujaga, it was something he used to make karai during the winter when she was small. It's a bit nostalgic, and he knows that at the very least karai will eat it. That being said, fishface found himself drawn to it as well. Shredder is oddly opinionated on what meat belongs in the dish, he's a firm pork believer. He won't eat it if it has beef instead. By the end of the night, the remainder of the dish was split up by fishface and karai.
She had absolutely no idea what to bring, and she's not a super good cook, so she brought a bunch of boardgames. They started with cards, but fishface kept crashing out because bebop was "cheating at poker". Bebop was not cheating at poker, fishface was just being salty about losing. Cards against humanity was brought out, which quickly devolved into a drinking game.
