What happen with Grav and Warp in you story?

Their story is the same as it was in Deer in Headlights, meaning doomed yuri

This time with an extra spice of doomed and tragic because their "best friend" and coworker has been faking everything from day one and indirectly contributed to Blackrock's rebellion movement failing

Rocket in you story should have a very hard moment after dift. I mean think about it, first his best friend dissaper for like three or more days after they discovered that Medkit (who also dissaper) was working with the church even when he ask him to don't do something stupid.

And then someone (I will theorize Medkit or Venomshank) call him and told him that Sword was in the hospital in a critical situation, when he went there they told them that he was in a coma which probably he wouldn't wake up from and even if he do, he will die for the poison in his body in any moment.

And he can't even count with Medkit because he dissaper again so he was alone in that situation withoud knowing if his best friends was even wake up again, until nine years pass. Like I can't even imagine what was happening for his head or what was he feeling

BWD!Rocket had many hard moments in bwdau to put it simply

Kinda hard to have not to being like you said, alone without your best friend for years while also having your kind of older brother figure missing again as well. It's a lot of strain to put on a guy in his 20s, no wonder he's almost as jaded as his dad in his 30s now.

Rocket in Banland Warden Duo au is not who he used to be (which is a reoccurring theme for the story, its a timeskip after all)

He's like Zuka without the war trauma

During the events of the main story he has many arguments with Sword, he wants him to stop pursuing Medkit, fearing he's gonna get badly injured again and this time not wake up.

SPOILERS!!! READ THE STORYBOARD FIRST

Medkit has been trained from his earliest childhood as a assassin and spy. He was respected by the big three at the top, but remained low-key in actual society. So he was subjected to discrimination due to being a support gear.

He still met Grav, Warp, Subspace. Everything that happened in canon happened here too. Everything that happened in Deer In Headlights au happened here too except he ended up backstabbing Wanted Selfish (a underground organization against Blackrock's oppressive goverment) in the back.

Despite working for Blackrock, he has his own thirst for power and control. It's why he pushed for a mission associated with science, and then upon making his crystals he wound up running into THE SPAWN, like the very personification of it.

Ever since then he's had the opinion of mortals being able to rise up to Gods if they would allow it.

On that note, you can start to connect dots and start thinking he mightve gotten closer to Sword for ulterior motives...same with Banhammer.

Does he actually care? Or is he still playing a role?

Has multiple times, he stopped when The Swords (cough Umbrella) started cracking down on his activities.

He didn't want to rope in Sword into more of his troubles.

Thinking of how badly that ended before, you can't really blame him.

Important storyboard for a scene from Banland Warden Duo AU

Phew finally done, I’m ngl this was a slog to get thru. I also cut a whole scene with Coil where Medkit has a little monologue.

So yeah, here’s the new backstory for Med from this au. He’s been raised with deception built into his dna, from the very moment he was spawned he was cultivated by Blackrock to become a top spy for the country. First to infiltrate their science division and spy on the employees to make sure nobody’s going out of line, then was „on the run” and infiltrated a Blackrock rebellion, subsequently busting them down.

Then he was sent to Lost Temple to meddle with their main governing organization, The church of The true eye.

Now…he’s with Banhammer, apparently betraying both organizations. But is that really true? Wink wink

Perhaps he always had his own agenda.

The cut scene showed their time at Playground, with Banhammer seeing why Coil does what he does. Small time criminals being oppressed by the larger entity. Medkit looks at that and starts to wonder if he could be forgiven, excused too.

As for the future of BWD. I think I'd like to slowly move towards posting original stuff and other fandoms besides Phighting. That doesn't mean I still don't love the au or that I'll stop answering asks (I see them btw I'll get to em very soon since this storyboard is finally finished) but I'd like to grow more and spread my wings as a artist.

Also I fear I'll never move on from Medkit LMAO I need to be proactive /hj

Rocket in the beginning was kinda mad, he ofc was happy he was found safe but also annoyed as hell that he put them through all that trauma once again and gone missing. Kinda sick of his bs.

He did blame him yeah. And there's a lot of animosity between them now. Rocket is subconciously thinking Medkit might just up and disappear one day. He also doesn't trust him at all because of how secretive Med is being about what happended to him. He just cant go through this shit again.

The ONLY reason Medkit is even allowed in the vicinity of Sword anymore is because Sword just adores him so much despite all of what happended.

Also way laterr on in the au Windforce puts in a good word as well.

Wanted to design Saparata's character from Unstable, bc I think Arachnid and Cindercrest (especially Arachnid) are awesome concepts for a empire, Saps has awesome villain potential

I dont rly watch Saparata so I know nothing abt the guy except for that one time he was a spy in some civilization video. So I was looking at his skin and then looking how ppl draw him and was wondering why people seem to ignore the deliberately misplaced pixel near the mouth that bleeds into the eye. So I made him have a scar with exposed gums.

Only after I finished this I saw his channel pfp and I realized why, kinda glad I didn't know earlier and made something unique with it, fits his character on UU too

I hc that ppl in the spider empire use a lot of body paint and place a lot of emphasis on it, particularly facepaint as a way to differentiate status.

The lower class wears nothing because they don't even have access to the tools, they prob wouldnt be able to see clearly to even paint in the first place. Some passionate citizens try to do crudely done tattoos, 9 times out of 10 it ends with a bad infection.

Every middle class member paints a small fang on the jaw to show their allegiance to the web. People on this level customize themselves a lot, they do makeup, wacky body paint, tattoos. They indulge in a lot of it.

Royals get one extra fang on the cheek/upper jawline. Suprisingly they don't wear a lot of bodypaint or makeup (they dont have time because they are sent all the time on missions) tattos are popular on this level as you dont have to reapply them everyday.

Banhammer for you starving lot out there

Wanted to practice heavy stylized muscle on big characters and he was honestly the best pick

Trying out a new app called heavypaint and found out its better I never sketch in it again, just paint loosely. It lacks brushes with a sharp edge which is what I typically gravitate towards so that's pretty lame. But I'll prob still use it sometimes because the brush engine and color jitter is too good to pass up on

What exactly happened to Sword in the bwd au, I mean you said that after dift he end badly hurt but what happen exactly?

How Medkit react?, how he survive? And what happen with him until he and Medkit reunited?

Most of the beginning of BWD is my personal hypothesis on how DITF could end, we already see Sword losing a lot of his naivety and seeing the true violence of The Inpherno as it is. In BWD, DITF ends with Sword infiltrating the church in order to reach Medkit, of course he loses his eye in the process to be accepted.

Ultimately he is busted for conspiring with Redcliff and tortured by the church, Medkit foregoes the church for Sword and together they skillfully manage to sneak past many guards. (Sword notes Medkit is really good at stealth) However Sword makes a terrible mistake and gets shot with a poison dart, a fight breaks out where Sword sustains many more wounds. He blacks out.

He wakes up in a hospital, he has been in a coma for 9 years, and miraculously he has his eye back! He’s informed of the intricate poison in his system tho and that his death is inevitable, that rot will start spreading outward from his healed eye socket regardless in a couple years and there’s nothing that can be done.

Naturally Sword wants to immediately speak to Medkit only to find out that he’s been missing ever since their teamup in the church.

He’s discharged from the hospital and immediately beckons Rocket to come with him this time to look for Med (strength in numbers) but Rocket is completely dejected, as he has been already searching for Medkit during these 9 years Sword has been in a coma and didn’t find a single clue.

They have a small falling out and argument, Sword is determined to find his brother again. On top of Rocket’s demotivation, Venomshank is as protective as ever which makes Sword’s job extra hard.

He won’t give up though, he found him once and he’ll do it again. Even if he’ll go crazy chasing him. (Seriously when did his brother become big foot levels of cryptid)

So..Medkit’s pov…is a secret! Until I make the storyboard I was thinking of :]

But I think it’s pretty clear that the only reason Sword survived is because of Medkit, he might’ve had a less than ethical source for Sword’s new eye tho..

I do not know how to use Tumblr that much, even though I’ve been on here for a good year or even more. So please excuse me if this is awkward at all!

But I just want to say, your au of Phighting, BWD has got me HOOKED. Sword being the complete opposite of who he was during the events of DITF is so interesting to me. I’m a sucker for people switching up character’s personalities in a way where it makes sense. This goes the same for Medkit too! Also Banhammer has such a sick ass design, so does Medkit! But I love the beard SO MUCH! Also your art is so goddamn inspirational! I love how lanky Medkit is! And I love how Sword looks. Genuinely I think you got some of my favorite humanized Phighter designs! Back onto Sword because I cannot get enough of that little guy. He just seems so sick of everything, Sword also seems like he’s dragging down Rocket with him. I’m definitely gonna look into this AU a lot more, and my friends are gonna have to hear me yapping about it for gods know how long.

A rare BWD Sword fan!!!!!! He’s quite cool indeed, I should draw him more. Rocket definitely became more like Zuka with age, in a sense where he became less and less of a adrenaline junkie and is a lot less energetic now. That being said he’s quite concerned for his friend who has been losing his mind for years since Med has gone missing, and now that he’s found, Sword suddenly doesn’t like it and acts even more unstable. He decided he’s not gonna question whatever eldritch bs Medkit has gotten himself into and will simply support his best friend who is slowly cracking and having a midlife crisis

And I’m very flattered you like my designs, I’ve spoken about them before in a similar light but I do try to go for something different and personal ❤️

The way you articulate emotions and facial expressions through such interesting colors and lines is brilliant. I'd also like to say, your gradient scale; or color pallets. Are so honestly pleasing to me that it scratches my little brain. As an extra point too, your medkit design is BEAUTIFUL. I have a thing for slight stubble on medkit because he just looks weird without it; and you made the absolute picture perfect design for me. He's genuinely the apple of my eye when I see your page. And of course, we can't forget Banhammer. Banhammer is such a jerk, but the way he's learning is so pleasing to see. And I'm also so excited for the Banhammer comment hehe I havent made nearly as much content of him as I have for BWD!Medkit and yet clearly my intentions for him are clear and readable enough for you guys, very happy about that. He seems a little bit like a spoiled nepo baby to me in that sense (could be considered a foil to Medkit) and I think a story that makes him break out of that mindset could be very interesting and fun for his character.

I don't plan on stopping creating anytime soon :]

I may take breaks sometimes and focus on other things but as long as I'm alive I'll continue to make thingmajobs and blips, you have my word.

As for the side note, Windforce is The only Sword that's privy to Banhammer's whereabouts (he could not live with himself if his momma worried)

She intends on keeping a secret, and none of The Swords want to press Windforce all that much. Venomshank and Firebrand sure tried, but its a losing battle.

That being said she is still on The Swords side, and is trying to actively peer pressure her son into betraying Medkit at the most opportune moment of the investigation.

Let's talk about it!!! Because I'm committing some big decisions that are pretty much gonna change everything about Med's character

I'm basically rewriting Med's character, finally giving him some backstory besides just saying its deer in headlights. Mainly doing this to further highlight that Banhammer and Medkit in BWD au are REALLY different from canon and that medhammer could never happen if they were their normal in character selves. I think the excuse of the experiments changing his personslity aren't sufficient enough.

I also wanted to go further and expand on a idea I've had for his motivations in the past.

In terms of BWD's story it doesn't affect that much because the changes just pertain to Medkit's past and motivations. And BWD never really cared about the events of DITF or even earlier, it was always about the what if timeskip after DITF.

So all the previous stuff and art isnt retconned or invalid, dw abt that.

I dont wanna say what exactly im changing but he's definitely not the canon Medkit we know or even my deer in headlights au (which is basically canon bfr), it's a facade. That's all Im gonna say bc I wanna make a short comic related to this and dont wanna spoil the fun.
