A photo of the bioactive enclosure newly finished.
Bonus video of our new female leopard gecko, Athena.
Enjoy some beautiful photos of Athena exploring her new enclosure, what a perfect lady 🥺

Some more pictures of freya, because i have about 60 haha
Shes always an angel to handle, and once stayed in my hand completely content for over an hour (we were watching a movie) before i put her back 😅
The roundest, most perfect gargoyle gecko I've seen all day. I fear that I may need one of these.
She really is rotund 🥰
Vampire crab! Vampire crab! Vampire crab!
Loki again, looking ever so regal with his wings out (is he trying to beef his own reflection?)
👑
Some more photos of the new leopard gecko enclosure
Including a real rock hot hide (very stable btw)
Bjorn, one of our leopard geckos, hes a big lad 🦎🥰
Playing around with plant placement 🌱🌿🌵🌾
Some progress photos of the bioactive enclosure, specifically the substrate mix.
The mix includes...
Small amount if cocosoil (for volume, NOT recommended as the base!)
2 leaf litter bricks
A 30l bag of clean plain topsoil
4kg of sand
Charcoal
Sphagnum moss
Worm frass
The main bulk would be top stoil, followed by sand, cocosoil, leaf litter, moss, worm frass, then moss. This mix a well draining but nutritious soil that has pockets of humidity thanks to the cocosoil and moss. The charcoal keeps everything fresh.
As for bioactive custodians...
Small worms
Mini speckled isopods (First time using these so hopefully they do well)
Springtails
Made a new bioactive enclosure earlier, i hope everyone enjoys! Its for a leopard gecko 🦎
I'll post progress photos soon 😶

These little meatballs are looking beautiful tonight.🐸
Top photo is nelly skulking around in the dark, bottom photo is phlegm, enjoying the UVB it seems 🥰

Meet loki, we have 2 ghost mantises (Phyllocrania paradoxa) both male.
Hes reaching the end of his lifepsan sadly, but we've really enjoyed his company, hes a very sweet guy (he started off angry at everything 😅)
This is an older photo but hes finally had his adult moult. His wings are beautiful 🥺😔
Let's hope little Odin (our baby ghost mantis) also has no problems reaching old age 🤞
