Guh… Something about how this girl was acting was really starting to bother Usagi! It wasn’t fair- she was the nice one, couldn’t this other girl try a little harder, too? Jeez.

Something about that girl’s smirk made the waitress almost uncomfortable (like she was being talked down to again- and so what if she wanted to be cheerful? Who was it hurting??).

"You forgot compulsive liars, and people want to make others afraid or nervous for no real reason- scenarios where the truth is, um… Generally better.”

She puffed a light sigh, shoulders sagging once before flashing a bright grin again. She wasn’t at work, and no one here could tell her boss what she just did, right? Okay, she wasn’t shooting sunshine out of her ass for like, 30 seconds, is that a crime?

The girl agreeing to her idea brought her back to her usual bouncy self, inflating with a new bounce in her step once more. That was more like it! 

"You want to go with me?! We can find somewhere warm and get ourselves nice and cozy and then come back and find everyone else and we can all have, like, a big sleepover or something, together?!? Because none of us really know what’s going on and I don’t know if there’s anywhere that will tell us so we can all hang out together and it’ll be so much fun like a class trip or something!"

Chillax, motormouth. Keep talking and she’ll find out you never had friends that were girls before.

Or friends that were really anyone.

Except Nekomaru, but where the heck was he?

"By the way!! Um, my name’s… Usagi! Yeah, just call me Usagi, okay? I’m a… SHSL Bunny Cafe Hostess- I work with bunnies ‘n all that junk. It’s kinda dorky, I guess, but it’s fun. Unless people are cranky- oooohh! I’m sorry I was snappy, like, um, earlier.. I didn’t mean it…"

The girl's...tension seemed to radiate off of her as she discussed compulsive liars. Almost as if she had a bad experience with liars in the past. Did Fuuro want to take that path and attempt to get more information out of Usagi? To appease her own curiosity? Nah. The ecologist wasn't ready to get to know that girl on a basis like that. As much as she hated liars, learning backstories could wait.

Although, the fact that Usagi seemed to have a darker side made Fuuro want to get to know her more. Of course, that side showed for literally 30 seconds, before returning to her happy-go-lucky self. 

Strange...But mysterious. The red-head liked that.

"..."

A sleepover? Was this girl out of her mind? They had literally met five minutes ago, all of them. And she wants to get them all together? Goodness gracious...

"...I'm down for a sleepover, I guess. Maybe not with everyone but...With a few of us? Sure."

Okay, fine. Fuuro had never been to a sleepover before, and kinda wanted to experience one. She wasn't necessarily excited but rather...curious. Were sleepovers like they were in the movies? Or did they have less giggling and gossip? It sounded like a good experiment to Fuuro.

"Uh...Hey, Usagi. My name is Fuuro Miyawaki. I'm a Super High-School Level Ecologist. You know, I deal with fixing the environment, and junk. There's more detail behind it but...for your sake, I'll refrain from details."

Usagi blinked, shifting on her feet. Such negativity was something she was used to, sure, but that didn’t mean she liked it!

Even so, she bit her tongue, trying to think of ways to cheer this girl up. That’s all she needed, really- to have a pick me up! If she was at home, she’d take her to the cafe, but since that wasn’t an option…

Usagi hummed.

Now what?

"Ummm… I didn’t understand, like, half of those words… But I don’t think we have to worry!"

Suddenly shifting herself into a straight-backed pose with a salute, she hardened her expression slightly.

"I mean, Mister Usamisomething said he was here to take care of us, right? So, I mean, really, why would he lie about that?"

Shifting back into a normal looking posture, she tilted her head a few times, humming softly to herself before walking a few paces back to pick up her cat, then back to the girl.

"Why don’t we try to find somewhere warm?"

Literally none of what Fuuro had just said seemed to click in the other girl's mind. The threat of pneumonia wasn't striking fear into Usagi's heart. Strange. This girl was far too optimistic for Fuuro's taste. Attempting to make a bad situation good is a futile effort, if you were to ask the ecologist. Internally, Fuuro was scoffing at the girl. On the outside, however, was the girl's trademark blank stare. 

Her stare was interrupted with blinks. Fuuro's expression shifted into one more cocky. Great. Someone please stop Miss Miyawaki before it's too late.

"Let me answer your question with a question. Why do people lie in the first place? To cover up a darker truth. There's gotta be something more than him trying to take care of us. I can feel it." 

One good idea came from the girl's mouth; finding warmth. Fuuro was damp and cold (that's probably why she was so cranky) and a warm place, away from everyone sounded pretty nice. Plus it'd give her a chance to explore her surroundings. If she was gonna be staying here for a while, it was probably best for her to get used to everything. 

"Uh...Yeah! Warmth. That sounds great, right about now. Let's go."

Without an angry cat in her arms, Usagi had managed to pull her hair up into buns once more. #Aesthetic. Said angry cat, however, had returned, and was now slinking around Usagi’s legs as he waited for her to pick him up again. 

Unfortunately for Naknak, Usagi was a little distracted. A girl nearby had been complaining for a while, and Usagi frowned. Why was she so upset? Sure, this was… Weird, and Usagi did want to go home, but… It wasn’t all bad! She was sure this place would be prettier once it stopped raining, and Usaimposter and Monomi seemed cute and friendly, so it was all okay, right?

Flashing a bright smile, Usagi found herself in front of the girl.

"Hey, hey, hey~. Why are you so unhappy? I mean, maybe you diiiid consent to living here, and just don’t remember? My mind gets all fuzzy when I’ve recently woken up, too! Ehehe!"

Make her stop.

"A-And, even if it’s a little suspicious, we’re not in any danger, right??"

Given a few seconds to calm her roll, Fuuro's rant ended, and a conversation started. Much to her dismay. Speaking of snobs from Hope's Peak, looks like she'd be having to interact with one of them. Great. All Fuuro could think of was escaping, and getting as far away from everyone as possible. Was she being cranky because she was cold and wet? 

Probably.

The seemingly optimistic tone of the other teenager confused the young ecologist. This place was far from habitable for humans. A five star resort for insects that like moss, but creepy for any other living thing. These conditions wouldn't do for Fuuro, so why the other teen seemed content with the situation was far beyond her mind. 

"What do you mean we're not in any danger? Falling rocks, potential asbestos poisoning, dangerous animals bites. Not to mention we're at a pretty big risk for pneumonia and other illnesses. If we keep standing out here, that is."

Scary Movie! Act 1 - Fuuro Miyawaki - (RE: Prologue) (OPEN!)

The initial idea of being taken care of for the rest of her life sounded pretty sweet to Fuuro Miyawaki. At least, she felt like she deserved to be waited on hand and foot for her accomplishments. But the reality of the situation was less than desirable. An incredibly anxious man, a gross, creepy animatronic, and 24 other snobby Hope’s Peak kids? What about the fact that they were in wet, dreary ruins. As illogical as it sounded, this entire scenery reminded Fuuro of a scary movie. And she certainly wasn’t an actor. Nope. This was real life, and it’s something that Fuuro didn’t want to accept. 

But, unfortunately, she knew she had to do it. The ecologist wasn’t one to look for the positives in a situation, but there was something that she could use to keep herself interested for a while: the nature in the setting. The mosses and grasses in the cavern could keep the girl entertained for a while, if she could find some other form of life in here. Insects? Animals? Something. Geez, she was growing more and more impatient by the second. The single pro the girl observed didn’t outweigh the cons. It was cold, wet, Fuuro was hungry, and trapped with a bunch of snotty teens. 

"Well…? God damn. I’ll be the one to say it; This place is boring as hell. I don’t mind our new…erm, ‘accomodations,’ or whatever, but the little boy and creepy animatronic could have taken the liberty to give us a place to stay that doesn’t make me feel like ghosts are about to come haunt us…or, more realistically, what if I get the flu or something?" 

Her constant complaining made her feel like she was making a terrible first impression on her new…colleagues. Not that it particularly mattered or anything. The last thing Fuuro needed to do was to strive to impress others. The only kinds of people Fuuro needed the opinions of were other ecologists. If she needed to strive to impress, she could do it. The only reason why she would need to make good relationships with these people is because…she’d be living with them for a while, if not for the rest of her life.

"Surely I’m not the only one unhappy with our current living situation. More than likely, none of us consented to being put here. I sure as hell didn’t. C’mon, people. Don’t make it seem like I’m complaining for nothing…!"

Alright, Fuuro. Whatever you say.
