Itsukiâs post-game plans: i donât have any specifics, but the gist is that Malachi and Itsuki keep hanging around each other -- Malachi because Itsuki keeps him from getting bored too much I think and Itsuki because they just. Enjoy his company. What a sap. They share an apartment for a while, though itâs pretty likely -- considering the two of them -- that they get into some trouble and end up in jail. Theyâre cellmates.
At some point prior to likely jail time, Itsuki does go home and meet up with their parents. They come clean about everything -- the thievery, what actually happened to Junki, where their burns really came from, the killing game, the fact that theyâre a robot now -- EVERYTHING. Itsukiâs parents are⊠really shocked that all this happened without their knowledge, and theyâre like not okay with it, but they decide that they still love Itsuki despite it. Itsukiâs their only child. It feels good to come clean on all of that for them. Itsukiâs parents help with money stuff for a while.
Also prior to jail, Itsuki does get back into photography and uses it as a source of income for a bit. They donât meet up with Junki again. Itâs probably for the best.
Now that thatâs said, I could never not make a sappy and embarrassing post after such a good game, so all that sap will be under the cut!! Itâs pretty lengthy and rambly and embarrassing rip!!

uh!! but basically-- SoD1 was such a great game for me?? for those who donât know, i originally wasnât going to apply to SoD1 -- i even told yuro like. I wasnât going to apply but iâd definitely be following along -- mostly bc i wasnât sure when DA5 was happening, and i wasnât sure if iâd be able to handle two games at once. iâd already had some big chunks of tomomiâs app done and i was set on them being my DA5 hopeful so. yknow.
but then i had a change of heart. i donât remember what exactly spurred it, but i got a flash of inspiration for itsuki -- i really, really wanted to write about them!! and it was maybe? two days before sod apps ended?? if that. so i rushed an app for them and sent it in.Â
their beta app was honestly p bad -- just objectively. it was rushed and beta itsuki was kinda similar to tomomi in some ways. it just wasnât quality or my best -- but iâd finished it and sent it in. then i asked bee to take a look at it during the revision period bc i knew for certain that a lot could be improved.
bee was actually a huge, giant help in fleshing itsuki out and making them who you know them to be now!! she helped me change around ideas and i think she really suggested the thievery thing first?? And we bounced ideas off each other and just!! she was super great and iâm really really glad she helped me revise and everything because itsukiâs app basically got rewritten completely during the revision period?? there were some small basic ideas that were kept but basically everything was changed and well. honestly iâm not too sure i would have gotten in if there hadnât been such a huge change in EVERYTHING about them -- and if i had, i know i wouldnât have been satisfied playing them how i written them in that first app.
thusly!! itsuki got in!! AND IâM SO, SO GLAD THEY DID HONESTLY,,
iâm so happy i went through all that rushing and giant revisions now that iâve been through the whole game. honestly, playing a character like itsuki made me a little nervous at first!! theyâre unlike any of the other characters iâd played before -- and v different from tomomi, who i was expecting to write -- itsuki was truly confident, direct, not willing to beat around the bush, and perfectly fine with the concept of being harsh or mean if it meant it would further their own goals. they were pretty surefire on the road of being disliked by other characters, and iâd never really?? played anyone like that before??
( besides the fact that even after revisions, itsukiâs backstory was still. A lot. i was anxious about playing a character with a criminal history!! feared that it was Too Much yknow but now iâm v confident and content with them so. GJ past me for sticking with it and to my guns that itsuki was shady. )
while i havenât been in that many games -- only four, including SoD1, currently -- like?? SoD1 is like the top experience or one of the top (possibly tied w/ DA4) iâve had in a game?? all the characters were so great!! I LOVE THIS ROSTER SO DEARLY.. theyâre all my kids. and the players just!! BWAH I LOVE YOU GUYS?? i feel like i got a lot closer to more people than i had before!! idk SoD1 felt v welcoming and homey to me, even the people who i didnât know prior, i quickly felt very at ease in the chat and just. good muns good players good characters good mods all of you are so great!!
furthermore i wasnât sure what kind of relationships itsuki would end up forming because. theyâre them; theyâre not someone just anyone can put up with iâll be real. and like!! they had really good dynamics all around??
SoDâs been a huge learning experience for me, honestly!! i feel like iâve improved so, so much through itsuki and through the relationships they formed!! how itsuki is as a character allowed me to explore relationship types iâve never written or experienced before?? it was really educational!! so like?? anyone whose character even interacted with itsuki just a little bit -- even just through trials -- you all played super incredible characters!! and thank you for helping me improve my own skills!! and the chat always felt welcoming -- i love all of you very dearly !!
special attention going to the itsuki + malachi, itsuki + julia, and itsuki + noelle dynamics because they were so varied and interesting?? i donât wanna ramble on too long but!! cyrille, ellie, and dlc -- youâre all gems for threading w/ me and thus allowing itsuki to form the relationships with your characters that they did!! i love these kids and i still think about them a lot
also shout out to dlc for planning such a fun and incredible murder w/ me too?? you made planning it together such a wonderful experience it was such a great time
AND THE MODS !! AA⊠there were rough patches here and there but like?? this was such a good game -- especially since like. none of you had really had an modding experience before?? you all did so super excellently i think!! this was SUCH a fun and beneficial game for me, and it was made possible by you mods!! yuro, moo, and sediea -- thank you for running such a wonderful game, despite the difficultiesâŠ!! this game has ended up being so, so dear to my heart.

As soon as the options were presented to them, Itsuki knew exactly which one they would choose.
Of course, they kept their mouth shut, listening to the ups and downs of each choice respectfully. It was only polite, and, besides, it was wisest to know what theyâd be ending up with afterwards the best they could. However, it was obvious to them what their most optimal decision would be.
Getting to leave the boat â Usami being able to change the environment regardless, the boat was still the same damn boat that they loathed the idea of being on a second longer than necessary â and move on with their life would have been more than good enough for them, but, really, they were getting more positives out of that than negatives, considering the information they had now.
Not aging physically? Their rebellious streak was much better suited for one who resembled a young adult anyway.
Erasing the physical imperfections they werenât born with? They would have never dreamed of a future where their neck wouldnât be covered in scars, where they didnât have to wear hearing aids. Theyâd freed themself of their main regret resulting from their past misdeeds, and now they would be able to be freed from the constant physical reminders of what theyâd done too? Miracles werenât something Itsuki believed in, but this might as well be one.
The entire situation was a win-win, to them, everything had fallen into their favor from start to finish. Sure, getting executed was a bit of a downer, but seeing as it would lead to this conclusion, Itsuki really couldnât find it in them to even look at it that negatively anymore.
As for the costs? Their parents were surely still around to support them if need be â they werenât rich, but⊠they were sure there were some funds to spare â and they could get a job. They could go back to photography and do some freelancing as well for cash.
They didnât have to ruminate on their decision for long, but they did take a moment to weigh all of it, Â to let the reality of just how lucky theyâd struck out sink in. It brought a sense of pride blooming in their chest, but soon enough, they drew the pink rabbitâs attention to speak up, and it was something of a challenge to not sound too smug about the situation.
âUsami-san, Iâll â Iâll be going with an A.I. body. The⊠robot one, I mean. Iâm not staying here any longer than I need to.â
Keeping their own tone in mind, even Itsuki couldnât deny the traces of enthusiasm leaking into their voice. One of their hands had its fingers curled around their scarf while the fingertips of the other were tapping noiselessly against their podium. Despite the fact that their expression was as unseeable as ever, the photographer actually seemed⊠legitimately excited?
To bystanders who hadnât seen any signs of real positive emotion from them prior, itâs probably⊠a little strange, to say the least.
The voice that you hear is probably one that you didnât really want to encounter again, but as they started to speak, you can definitely hear a sense of exasperation in their words too. At least the feelingâs mutual.
ââŠWell, Iâm guessing none of you are happy to hear from me, and I doubt my opinion is wanted anyway, so Iâll try to make this quick.â
It seemed like someone was certainly self-aware, and Itsukiâs voice sounded somewhat clipped and muffled through the transmission. You can only imagine itâs their scarfâs fault.
âThe point is⊠frankly, I donât expect any of your support. I killed somebody a⊠lot of you seemed to like, played a whole bunch of you to get away with it, and left you hanging about what Iâd actually done just to leave you all shaking in your boots for executing me. Trust me for once when I say I donât regret any of those things.â
You canât hear any hesitation in their tone, as if they were completely at ease and content with what theyâd done. They definitely werenât helping their own case, though from how they were talking, itâs doubtful they thought said case had a chance at all.
âI had an agenda to accomplish, and I did what I set out to do. Execution aside, Iâd say Iâll be walking away from this with more than I came in with, assuming this⊠uh, new bodies thing works. After that, I assume Iâll be⊠off to do my own thing.â
The veiled smugness in their voice was clear as day, though it was gone in a mere instant as their usual apathy came back in full force easily enough.
âSo, I guess what Iâm saying is⊠I donât care what you do. If you leave or stay is no skin off my nose⊠and donât expect any apologies from me if you stay either.â
As they trail off, you can hear a mumbled âwhateverâ before their voice disappears completely. Well, at least theyâd stuck to their word for once and made it somewhat quick as their message draws to a⊠probably unsurprising end.
okay yuro said its fine for me to share these so. i have all the monotsuki-related asks saved from the entire game, and they really need to be shared, so i organized them by chapter:

You know itâs possible you sent this as a joke, but Iâm going to reply to it seriously anyway because Hanzo and Itsuki are a good mutual hatred.

Hanzo Fujiwara was in Junkiâs group of thieves far before Itsuki even knew it existed and looked up to him. They were friends. Itsuki... didnât mind him. A friend of Junkiâs couldnât be too bad, and they did make an effort to be pleasant to everyone in the group. They didnât want Junkiâs friends angry with them, didnât want them to tell Junki to kick them out (even if they had no right to join in the first place).Â
Then, Itsukiâs greed won out when the group planned that big mall heist. Junki and many of the others were taken into police custody, leaving Itsuki, Hanzo, and Junko free. Understandably, the latter two were furious with them, resulting in the burns on their face and neck before they managed to escape with their life.Â
Itsuki knows that it was revenge, knows that they got what was coming to them. Hanzo was just dishing out what karma had served for them in return for what theyâd done, and they fully think that what happened to them was just. However, that doesnât stop them from being... terrified of Hanzo.
He was the loudest; he stared them in the face while holding that firecracker to their skin. He was unbelievably angry, and Itsuki knows -- they know -- that he had the right to be angry because what theyâd done was terrible, but... they hate and fear him with every inch of their being. He makes them feel small and vulnerable and reminds them of just how terrible the things they did to Junki and his crew were, and theyâd prefer to go through the rest of their existence without ever seeing Hanzo again.
They donât want him in their life, especially because theyâre sure that, while theyâd just attempt to avoid him if they ever encountered him once again, theyâre certain that Hanzo would waltz right up to them. Thatâs the last thing Itsuki wants; he scares them almost as much as the fire itself.
Itsukiâs opinion of Mitsuru is mostly neutral and has been for the majority of the game, though there are only some minor points that earned him some of their dislike. Obviously, his⊠demeanor wasnât something they really cared about, and while they couldnât claim to understand his sliminess with his appearance, it wasnât something that bothered them nearly as much as it did for some others. After all, theyâd never had much close contact with him, and it wasnât like Mitsuru was close to them in the courtroom, so his hygiene wasnât something that came into play very often, if at all.
( And while Itsuki probably would never verbally affirm as such, they could definitely see that he⊠had a point with what he said during the second trial. The people who voted for themselves definitely werenât helping in the whole âexecuting an innocentâ thing. )
So, Itsuki⊠thought that, due to the behavior heâd expressed thus far, maybe heâd be the type that they could tolerate if they decided to interact with him, but he didnât grab their attention as much as Malachi did. Mitsuru actually seemed to care somewhat about their situation and took it at least vaguely seriously, unlike what Malachi seemed to put forward, which made them think that Mitsuru wouldnât be as easy to ally with. They considered approaching him, but obviously, it never happened.
The first mark of negative opinion Itsuki has on Mitsuru comes from how he addressed them during the fourth trial. The whole âhey Hanazawa theyâre gonna kill you nextâ definitely wasnât appreciated on their end, even if they knew it was true. Theyâd seen what happened to WIRE, what happened to the last time someone suspicious was allowed to leave the courtroom in one piece, and the idea that⊠they could end up like that, vulnerable and dead and at the mercy of the investigators who definitely wouldnât respect them wasnât a reminder they needed.
Itsuki knew that walking out of that courtroom had painted a target on their back.
That said, they also werenât happy about the fact that he contributed to voting them to their death the following chapter, but thatâs besides the point. After Itsuki died, Mitsuru⊠wasnât really on the high list on people they paid attention to -- ( though, if theyâd known that theyâd given Mitsuru a scare by lying about not killing Noelle, they probably would have felt some level of pride for being able to catch him off-guard a little ) -- but his punishment definitely caught their eye. On some level, Itsuki was almost⊠hoping to see him pop up among the dead students, but not in a malicious way.
After all, I did say that Itsuki thought they might be able to tolerate Mitsuru earlier, and at the time of their death, the array of deceased teens in deadblog werenât exactly⊠keen on Itsuki for the most part. That meaning, Itsuki had no intention on trying to approach their fellow deceased because they were fairly sure that their company wasnât really wanted, after what theyâd done. Therefore, if Mitsuru died, Itsuki thought that maybe theyâd at least be able to get some entertaining company out of him -- ( on the other hand, in their own words âI wouldnât wish this place on anyone,â referring to deadblog, so it was a distant sort of hope ), but⊠obviously, Mitsuru didnât die.
The next time Itsuki saw Mitsuru, they felt⊠well, some level of pity for him. What happened to him was a lot worse than what had happened to Malachi, much more limiting and life-changing in comparison, and even they couldnât help but feel a little sorry for him. If he ended up somehow surviving the killing game, how would he even be able to fair? What would he be able to do in his state? It wasnât a sense of concern, but they definitely felt pity towards him.
( I did mention it in Malachiâs star, but, once again, Itsuki⊠didnât care about the whole âI sinned with tall, dark, and priestyâ thing. Malachi and Mitsuru are their own people, and Itsuki wasnât actually involved with Malachi that way, so⊠none of their business. They honestly didnât care or think about it again afterwards. )
The only other thing about Mitsuru that earned a little bit of ire from Itsuki actually has nothing to do with them and⊠everything to do with the fact that Mitsuru calls Malachi by âNatadama.â There are few things Itsuki will respect regardless of circumstance. One of those is peopleâs privacy and boundaries, and the other thing is like⊠I guess I would describe it as respecting oneâs identity? It probably stems somewhat from having their gender respected, so they respect how other people want to be known/identified as in return?
Itsuki⊠never acknowledged the name of Shigeru Natadama. They didnât associate it with Malachi, and never called him anything other than the name he wanted to be known as because thatâs something they respect highly. So, partially derived from the fact that Malachi is someone they appreciate as a person and also from the fact that they also donât really like the idea of purposely not calling someone by what they want to be known as is really the only other major point that brought on Itsukiâs⊠mild dislike of Mitsuru.
âIt probably didnât seem like anything, but I⊠do appreciate you not looking when you had the chance.â
Itsuki had an immediate positive opinion towards WIRE when they first saw him for obvious reasons; he also covered his mouth/lower face, and while they didnât really have an⊠interest in whatever he was hiding, the fact that there was someone else who covered up similar to how they did was⊠kind of relieving to see, in a way? Theyâd never seen anyone before who shared that trait with them, so even if they and WIRE had never spoken, he would have remained in mildly good graces just out of them sharing that!
They thought that he seemed to have some sense in him from his words in the first trial, as well, considering how he thought all the fighting was Completely Pointless, which they could also appreciate. During the next chapter, Itsuki approached him in the arcade, partially out of a want to see if heâd be someone perhaps worth allying with in the future but also because they were⊠curious. Curious about what it was like to talk to someone like themself, when you couldnât see the other personâs lips move or a lot of their expressions.
He also played Pacman with them, and I think he won, but they still had a decent time with him??? Itsuki thought WIRE was chill.
Then, well, the second trial happened and WIRE murdered someone. The motive was definitely something that they could understand someone acting on, considering their own motive card, and they can be told all the time that all the evidence was pointing to him, and they did think he was suspicious, but they did honestly think Najwa seemed more suspicious. Obviously, they were wrong, and knew afterwards for certain that WIRE was the real killer, and while some were angry with him for letting Najwa take the fall, Itsuki⊠couldnât bring themself to be.
Mostly because itâd be incredibly hypocritical.
Itsuki had let their own friends and boyfriend of multiple years take the fall for their crimes, so using Najwaâs death as a factor against WIRE made no sense to them because theyâd essentially done the same thing. However, they were⊠kind of salty about the fact that Najwa and WIRE had seemingly know each other for maybe a week or two by that point??? And Junki and Itsuki had been dating for⊠a few years by the time he went to jail for them, the two of them being best friends for even longer before that.
But thatâs besides the point.
Anyway, WIRE was an obvious threat, and while Itsuki didnât hate him nearly as much as some did -- ( they could understand someone killing for that motive, and, once again, disliking him too much would be⊠really hypocritical. ) -- they werenât surprised when he ended up dead the next chapter either. Of course, they werenât close to him, so in true Itsuki Hanazawa fashion, they didnât really⊠care. However, for once, there was something that made them uncomfortable about their situation, and it wasnât that WIRE was dead.
It was that his body didnât have his mask. That being a corpse meant that he couldnât have stopped people from taking off his mask had he been wearing it.
That idea made them⊠very uncomfortable because if they ended up murdered, if they ended up as the next latest dead body on the boat, they would have no control over that either. People would be able to touch their scarf, move their scarf, take it from them. Everyone would know about the scars winding up half their neck, about the hearing aid in their ear, and they absolutely hated that idea. They wanted to survive, but if they ever died, looking at WIRE, they never wanted to be in such a vulnerable position, at the mercy of the prying hands around them because they knew, at that point, there wasnât anyone who would respect that privacy.
That really had no bearing on WIREâs opinion in Itsukiâs eyes aside from gaining something akin to⊠pity from them, but it definitely made them think, which is why itâs important. In a way, perhaps they did feel a little more motivated to catch WIREâs killer than the others, if only because they had that similarity, because the fact that his killer had left him without his mask that he definitely wore for a reason made them incredibly uncomfortable.
Then, the group found his killer, and Itsuki⊠didnât have a reason to think about him at all anymore. By this point, their views on him were largely neutral, and for the most part, after they died, it stayed that way. However, there was one thing that bumps WIRE up to being⊠probably the only other person besides Malachi to get a positive rating.
That being, WIRE received the cat plushie of Itsuki, and while he kind of just⊠tossed it at them, Itsuki checked and⊠the scarf on the plush could have been moved. WIRE had the chance to look under their scarf -- admittedly through an incredibly roundabout manner -- but from what Itsuki could tell, it hadnât been touched. So⊠Itsuki really appreciated that he seemed to have respected their privacy on that, even if theyâre a total shitlord!
Therefore, all things considered, WIREâs still chill in Itsukiâs books Bââ) they think heâs an alright dude.

There were very few people on the Stella Maris that Mitsuru deemed âreasonableâ. For a while, Itsuki was one of them. They were collected during trials, and they collected valuable evidence â and they didnât seem to cling too heavily to other people, which was a bonus. Mitsuruâs respect isnât easily earned, but Itsuki was getting there.
⊠Aaaaand then Noelle died, which kinda ruined everything.
Sympathy? Pity? He hated them like the plague. He didnât feel any of that for Noelle. All his irritation for Itsuki came from the fact that, not only did they kill Noelle, but they fucking lied about it when they were about to die and had nothing to lose, what the hell. Though one could argue that he was more irritated at himself for believing them when they said they were innocent.
(Just trying to be helpful, his ass.)
Even worse was their weird friendship with Malachi. Friendship? On this boat? Heâd thought they were better than that. But in the end, they just turned out to be another fucking wild card.

Itsuki never really thought too much about Shuichi either way! As a (supposed) medical journalist, they were somewhat glad that at least there was someone who probably had some medical knowledge in a murder game; however, they also considered him something of a danger for this reason? After all, who better to know how to murder a person than someone who would obviously have some level of medicinal knowledge, regardless of him not being an actual doctor?
And well, he was helpful! He wasnât particularly loud or anything either, so Itsuki didnât have anything against him. They probably would have indulged him in a conversation or two if the opportunity had arose because he was definitely one of the ones they could stand more than others, but it didnât. Still, they did appreciate him using his knowledge to assist in investigations! Grandpa was chill with them.
Honestly, what very little ire Itsuki has for Shuichi comes entirely from the fact that he voted for them, and in the fourth trial (where they actually were the murderer), he specifically stated that the hoodie in their room Julia had mentioned definitely seemed suspicious. Which was actually⊠completely unrelated; it was just a hoodie Itsuki had laying around and wore often, so theyâre just â??? Really. really.â
Otherwise, they donât really dislike him significantly, though they did think the mastermind votes for him were pretty darn foolish. After the reveal of his real talent, they had been considering the option that perhaps heâd been the person who killed Damodara -- as Itsuki thought heâd been poisoned, which was⊠also wrong -- but seeing as they were dead, there wasnât really any way that they could figure that out, so they just⊠idly wondered about it sometimes. Theyâd been executed in that murdererâs place, after all, so they couldnât help but think about it occasionally!
Mostly, though, Shuichiâs still?? chill in their books. Theyâre a little bitter over him voting for them, but. Nothing big. And he made the right choice anyway, so Iâm proud of him.

Itsuki and Yuu never really interacted directly much, but⊠they never really liked him, honestly. Itsukiâs the type who finds annoyance with those who display a lot of outward emotion, and, well, Yuu did that. He yelled, he cried, he was emotional in general, and they similarly, didnât appreciate how heâd started out often delaying bringing out evidence that could be damning (see: the first trial). Their policy is that, if a person had important information, bring it out right away so everything was in the open for consideration.
And well???? That mild annoyance only got worse over time??? They could appreciate how at least he was good at finding evidence, but otherwise, Yuu Sagara was just⊠bothersome to them. He was loud and irritating to them, and how he chewed them out directly prior to their death just solidified that, to the point that they completely ignored him. They didnât owe him anything; they had no reason to tell any of them  (minus Malachi) the truth, seeing as they disliked the majority of them -- Yuu being one of the lowest ranked individuals in their mind by that point.
(Even that one time Yuu searched Itsukiâs room, they definitely didnât interact positively.)
Even after their death, it never improved, and if anything, theyâre only glad that he grew more accustomed to the murder game over time because it meant they didnât have to listen to him as much. Otherwise, Yuu Sagara was never really positively thought of to them, and that⊠only proceeded to worsen. Rest in pieces.

Rating: 4/10Cookies for a hard-working grandkid: đȘđȘđȘđȘđȘEven before Malachi revealed the note from Itsuki or vague suspicion arose during Noelleâs trial, Shuichi was never terribly fond of them in the first place. Sure they were calm and respectable, but heâs very turned off by those who seem sneaky and secretive. Itâs hard for him to wrap his head around subtle things like peopleâs motivations or even just lying in certain cases, so he was always very wary of them, and generally tried to avoid interaction.AFTER the reveal, not much changed, but he was relieved to find out he wasnât guessing on a total whim (wouldnât that be awful). As with all murderers, it didnât help his impression of Itsuki, but they at least werenât terribly malicious or swept up in petty desires- whatâs with you humans anyway this is so confusing why would you just kill someone Because??? ArghThatâs not to say itâs all bad! Ituski was definitely one of the strongest team players early on and a good investigator- something invaluable to and old tin can who can barely get through half a deck without tuckering out. They were very on top of things, which is always great. Good job kid. Although it was always a shame when someone was already shaken down for their stuff and there was less to investigate for himself. 3The only other contributing factor to not being a Huge Fan was that, tbh, he thought they were kind of a stiff! Very boring. Whatâs life worth if youâre not expressing yourself? Itsuki is one of the ⊠three? People - I think is the right number - that Bina genuinely has come to dislike overall, and thatâs both hard to do and impressive considering how willing she is to forgive. However Itsukisâ lying and their treatment of Noelle is really what did everything in; sure she may have tried to punch them with pretty much no provocation (not like itâd ⊠hurt⊠sheâs a ween). Thatâs a story for another day though.
Itâs sort of surprising, actually, that most of Binaâs view towards Itsuki is how they treated others; Bina isnât normally a super judgemental type like that. Honestly the only reason it isnât complete hatred as much as she can hate someone is the fact that they stand right next to each other in the trial room and Bina tries too hard to not make things totally bad, plus she didnât want to antagonize Itsuki anymore and see what would happen.
Honestly, if they hadnât done what they did to Noelle, sheâd probably like them better⊠she just happens to like Noelle so what they did has affected (effected?) the way she views Itsuki.
