Hi, I was wondering how you went about doing Aladdin's bandages on his chest. Like did you just use fabric? Actual bandages?

this is also probably hella hella late sorry! Sid used ace bandage to bind (which is not the most comfortable I know and some people cant actually do so because of the effect it has on their lungs but its what we did) the ace bandage was then covered with linen strips cut from the same fabric used for his pants.

!! There was a griffith at AZ this year? It would have been sweet to get pics of you and my berserker armour in action. drats.

Kingdom Hearts is a long complicated franchise spanning over many titles and consoles. With a little motivation from Siddershow I’ve finally started work for a Kingdom Hearts panel (most likely for ausa or nekocon) and have a quick survey to help shape whats going to go into the panel. So we hung out with our good friend Ton a lot this weekend, which included a fun adventure to a Japanese restaurant called Aoba, closet cosplaying from DRAMAtical Murder to cut Eljin's actual Aoba hair, and going to the Renaissance Festival. This post is beyond late but we went to the premiere of How To Train Your Dragon 2 and did another closet cosplay! As you can probably tell, Sidney is rocking Astrid from the second movie while Eljin is being the perfect Hiccup from the first. As usual, most everything was from Eljin's massive collection of ren fair garb!

Hi Nonny! Rather than use pictures, we made a video for you! Click through [here] to check out how we tied my turban. It’s really easy and requires no sewing at all. If you need us to make a picture tutorial please, please let us know so we can do that! Making a video was just easier for us at the moment.

Hi there! I just saw your harem pants tutorial and it was so informative! Are you by chance the Judar in the tutorial? Your bangles look amazing! The best I've ever seen! Do you mind me asking how you made them?

HI YES I AM! AND NO I DO NOT MIND AT ALL!

basically to avoid any seams or having them not tight enough I just spray painted about 20 feet of black electrical cable (10 for each wrist) gold. however I have recently found out that clear vinyl plumbing tubing is much cheaper and probably more comfortable since its hollow. The stuff I used was about 1/4” in diameter.

To be honest I haven’t exactly mastered how to attach them correctly yet. The gold cable is just wrapped tightly around my forearm. In the picture you saw I believe they were just held on by clear inside out tape wrapped around my wrist and arm where the bangle starts and ends. Later I made a small fixture out of tape that the ends slid into, similarly to what you would find holding camping tent poles in place. none of these were particularly effective and the last time i wore it i just angrily tucked the the ends under the coils and they would fall off ever hour or so. If I ever remake these, I would probably try gluing on velcro around where the ends meet the coil after them.

ALSO BE CAREFUL WITH THESE BECAUSE I PUT THEM ON TO TIGHT ONCE AND FUCKED UP MY HAND FOR A FEW WEEKS LIKE I HAD NO FEELING IN MY THUMB AND HALF MY PALM. also while this method looks great it takes a while to put on and most of the time my Aladdin would have to help me with it.

you can find the vinyl tubing at your local home depot/ lowes/ hardware store of choice in the plumbing section. a roll of 20 feet will only cost you around 5 bucks.

When we go to movie premieres we like to dress up for them, mostly using things from Eljin's closet.

When we went to see Maleficent, Eljin made some horns out of wire, craft foam, scrap fabric and a headband, draped herself in fabric and fur she had around her room and was done. I fished around in my closet for a skirt and shirt that would work, borrowed a headband from my mom, turned one of Eljin's corsets inside out, used one of her skirts for a shawl and bam! Instant Briar Rose.
