I won't say everything happens for a reason because that implies that everything will always work out, which is not a thing I can guarantee. I'll say this instead,

You will see phase pass but you've got to choose that.

Tables turn, things change, I beg of you to ride out the horror you're facing. Choose life, choose to find joy, love, companionship and community wherever you can.

Do it out of spite if that's all you've got for the time being, and one day you'll have more than just that to live on.

Continue to live even when it feels like you can't see an end of the horrors. I can't say how long the storm will last, or what the worst of it will look like from here. I can't even say you'll be stronger or better for having survived it.

But if you choose survival, you will see how it passed. That it was a phase.
