Me: ok so I'm gonna get to this thing 25 minutes early
Also me: *arrives 50 minutes early*
*proceeds to sit in car for 20 minutes to make it less awkward*

Having a large coffee is admittedly not the best thing for a stomachache
Will I regret this? Yes
Do I care? Not at all
I like how Supernatural is so sad already, that it doesn't have any dark twist theories for it
Cause there is literally no theory that could make it sadder than it is
I already had pretty low hopes for the Artemis Fowl movie, but this is just ridiculous
How dare that do that to my snobby rich kid

Wearing bracelets with Tourettes is just asking for trouble
"Fear is not real. The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. It is a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things that do not at present and may not ever exist. That is near insanity. Do not misunderstand me, danger is very real. But fear is a choice."

Reading about Tourettes makes my tics worse

Touretteâs tumblr people, I have a question!
Last Saturday, there was a visitor sit behind me at my church. Iâm pretty sure he had Touretteâs. He was vocalizing (âhuh!â and âeep!â and the occasional âwoo!â), twitching (I heard his hands hitting his jeans and his clothes rustled a lot) and occasionally whispering words (âSpongebob!â and âPeace, brother!â). Twice, he flipped a music issue book open, ruffled the pages and slapped it shut.Â
People kept turning around to look at him. He said âsorryâ a lot when people turned around. His movements and noises stopped for a few minutes, then started up again, which cued more people turning to look. I saw some scowls.
I stayed facing forward and made a point NOT to add to the staring. I put my No Gloom âShroom chewable pendant in my mouth and drew a few eyes to myself.
The person left right after Communion, so I didnât get to address him to let him know I understood he couldnât help his tics and wasnât judging him.
Iâm autistic and thatâs one situation where I purposely refused to follow what the people around me were doing, but I worry that my not turning around could have been hurtful in some way.
Did I do the right thing by refusing to join the people turning to stare?
You definitely did the right thing. I know when my Tourettes start up, staring just makes it worse. The best thing you can do is just ignore it, and don't react. Because we know you've noticed it, everyone's noticed it. But by not reacting you're showing that you don't care. And that's exactly what we need.
