honestly to be honest Sakura cutting her hair should have been the start of her getting over her crush on sasuke, like why put all that emphasis on “”sasuke likes girls with long hair“” only to have her cut it off and still like him???? (dumb stupid boring) She coulda grown it back out (both ino and hinata did between shippuden) BUT SHE DIDN’T why ?? Cause it’s a metaphor for her moving on and //growing// as a person, realizing she doesn’t need to impress sasuke b/c she doesn’t have genuine feelings for him. She liked him b/c all the girls did b/c he was easy to like and unattainable (classic lesbian move) AND ino liked him so it’s the perfect cover for her misdirected anger at ino for not liking her the same boy, therefore Sakura cutting her hair is the first step of freeing herself from her self imposed rules and discovering not only does she not have feelings for sasuke but unwinding her true feelings for ino, in this essay I will-
