Watched brand new day and I genuinely felt so bad for Peter, conflicted on wanting to have his friends back but also wanting to keep their safety 😕💔

It bugs me when people assume that those who are aroace aren’t capable of having as much empathy as a non-aroace. If anything, I think we have the capability to love more on a whole other level.

To me, it’s a deeper intensity since we can hold friends as close as possible without it having to be something else. Of course anyone can, but I feel we are able to pour all of the energy we have into the people we heavily care about since we aren’t putting some of it into a significant other or saving parts of ourselves for someone romantically if that makes more sense. We can just give it our all, which is why I feel people may sometimes think we have crushes on them when really it’s just how we show affection to about anyone else we know.

Also the fact that we “aren’t” aroace if we do happen to partake in anything romance related. That is so not true. It isn’t just black and white, there are so many variating identities under both the terms of aromantic and asexual. You can be in a relationship and still be aroace.

Just because we don’t commonly feel anything beyond platonic doesn’t mean we can’t feel anything at all.
