You may not necessarily be certain as to where you are headed, however you can always look back and remind yourself of your progress. You have truly come so far. Please be proud of yourself. ~N.A

I cant believe somebody shrunk that baby and put her in cereal.
why DO teenage girls go through a witch/occult phase? I had tarot cards and a spellbook and I knew a group of girls who messed with ouija boards and another who had ghost hunting equipment. āoh yeah Cindyās just going through that girly phase where she tries to raise the dead.ā
theory - we want power and know our culture doesnāt want to give us any?
Addendum: witches are one of the few cultural figures of female empowerment that donāt derive their power from their relationship to a man.
Galaxy brain: all women have suppressed magic inside them waiting to be unleashed

āWe now know enough to know that we will never know everything. This is why we need art: it teaches us how to live with mystery. Only the artist can explore the ineffable without offering us an answer, for sometimes there is no answer. John Keats called this romantic impulse ānegative capability.ā He said that certain poets, like Shakespeare, had āthe ability to remain in uncertainties, mysteries, doubts, without any irritable reaching after fact and reason.ā Keats realized that just because something canāt be solved, or reduced into the laws of physics, doesnāt mean it isnāt real. When we venture beyond the edge of our knowledge, all we have is art.ā Jonah Lehrerās Proust Was a Neuroscientist
We should be quite gentle in judging ourselves and remember that the habits we are fighting against are very strong. So from time to time there will be some backsliding ā though in the long run there is progress and improvement. Furthermore, remember that even having the intention to reduce our disturbing emotions, or being concerned about disturbing emotions is amazing because most people never even think about this.

Say youāre walking down the sidewalk on a beautiful day. Someone who has internalized an outsiderās perspective of herself will often spend more time adjusting her clothing or hair, wondering what other people are thinking of her, judging the shape of her shadow or reflection in a window, etc. She will picture herself walking ā she literally turns herself into an object of vision ā instead of enjoying the sunny weatherā¦. ⦠Women are constantly being looked at. Even when weāre not, weāre so hyperaware of the possibility of being looked at that it can rule even our most private lives. Including in front of our mirrors, alone.

Good Gawd, THIS.Ā
Iām working to re-define my thinking about myself and walk in the glorious space of not being an object for other peopleās visual consumption and the freedom it brings.Ā
And reminding people of that fact when they feel compelled to comment.Ā

I literally can not look in mirrors in public, especially around other people, or even look in a mirror in private while in theĀ presenceĀ of somebody else, I feel like Iām about to implode. maybe this has something to do with it.
