Annoying Chronic Illness Things #7
When you don’t want to be complaining all the time so you don’t talk about how ill you feel, but then everyone forgets that you’re actually ill and expects more of you, because you never mention it.
There's a difference between addiction and pain management.
I understand the problem with opioids that the country is having, but there’s a difference between addiction and pain management. When you live in CHRONIC PAIN 24/7 with absolutely NO break, and the only way to even slightly take the edge off is to take opioids, you’ll have a different perspective on it.
It’s not fair that the country looks at opioid users under the umbrella of “addicts” and “abusers” when only a portion of the population is actually under that category. It’s not like we want to take more drugs. Believe me. We are simply trying to live in just a *little* bit less pain. Trying to stay out of the hospital for a little bit longer. Trying to get comfortable in an uncomfortable battle. Trying to thrive and not just survive.
All these questions without any answers; They drive you nuts.

Me: I have a chronic illness
Person: I hope you recover soon
Me: Someone find me a dictionary STAT
And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up.
James 5:15
Here is my 5 week update video from my surgery. I filmed this on July 14th, so it’s a little behind my actual recovery time (took a while to get energy to edit and post), but I’m still feeling very similar. I hope this video helps you feel less alone if you’re going through something like this. It’s been rough, but I appreciate all of your support, prayers, and love through it all. Feel free to check out my other videos as well. You’re never alone!❤️
Menopausal Hot Flash Tip:
After dealing with menopausal hot flashes for several weeks now, I’ve figured out a new method to cool myself down. Take a spray bottle and fill it with water. Lay under a fan that’s blasting and start spraying. Let the cooling begin.
*Disclaimer: May have to repeat a hundred times, and you may have soaked pillows and pajamas from spraying water every 5 seconds, but it’s better than feeling like you’re on fire.*
I don't know how people go through life without Jesus. I could never walk this life without Him.
This is my newest video! It’s all about the surgery I had done just a few weeks ago. My fiancé goes in depth about what happened during surgery, what they had to remove and a new diagnosis. It’s been a crazy rollercoaster of a recovery process, but with how much was done, I think I’m handling it well.. Still in a lot of pain, but I just pray that eventually I feel a difference with my pelvic pain from this surgery. It has to make a difference, but full healing will take a while. One day at a time though. That is enough. Check out my video and feel free to subscribe to my channel. I’m so thankful for all of your support, prayers and love. It’s left me speechless. ❤️
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Hebrews 11:1
MY SURGERY IS LESS THAN A WEEK AWAY! Watch this video to hear about what I’ve been dealing with and my thoughts about the upcoming surgery and choices I’ll have to make. You’re not alone! It’s always scary being vulnerable and talking about what you are going through, but I believe it’s the best thing to do. By speaking up and sharing, you can help others feel less alone.❤️
I may not know where the path I travel will lead, but I know the One who is leading me.
God will give you the grace, strength and courage to deal with life's difficulties. All you have to do is trust Him.
If you feel stressed, anxious or worried- give it to God. He is meant to fight our battles, not us.
When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
Psalm 56:3
God knows that you can't handle this life on your own. Let Him help you, protect you, guide you and fight for you. You can rely on Him.
