Is there anything you can no longer do because of your illness?
[Saddens.] Yes. I used to love to swim and trek up the mountain, but… I simply do not have the energy to do those kind of things anymore. [Reassuringly smiles.] But I’m positive I will get better soon! I hope.
[Closes her eyelids and envisions herself in the future.] ...♪ I want to see myself become healthy once again. I think I would like to be with someone as well, just maaaaybe...❤
If you were to succeed your father, what would be the first thing you do as mayor?
[Smiles at one of her favorite topics.] There are many things I have in mind of doing, but the first thing I would do… [Ponders for a moment.] Refurbish our town for the better of the people, and invest more in our market to attract tourists. Oops — I guess that’s two things, hm? ♪
[Hums cheerily as she approaches the judges' table with confidence, yet a hint of nervousness surges through her.] Hello judges, and good afternoon.♫ How are you? Are you staying warm? [Giggles heartily and places a tupperware bowl of her dish in front of the judges, smiling brightly in reassurance.] For the Winter Cooking Contest, I cooked Sardinian Spaghetti- the perfect meal on a cold winter night~.♪
"The ingredients for this recipe are:"
1/4 cup of extra-virgin olive oil
1 and 1/2 pounds of sweet Italian fennel, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 28-ounce cans of whole peeled tomatoes, drained, seeded and halved, with 1/2 cup of juice reserved
2 sliced cloves of garlic
2 bay leaves
1/2 teaspoon of fennel seeds
1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon of saffron threads
1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley
1 and 1/2 cup of torn fresh basil leaves
3/4 pound of spaghetti
1 cup of shredded pecorino cheese
"I know that may be a handful, but those are what creates a rich flavor in the spaghetti~. Next, is the preparation and cooking which, all together, takes about an hour and 10 minutes."
"Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Then, add the fennel and cook, stirring sometimes, until brown for about 7 minutes. Push to one side of the skillet and increase the heat to high. Add tomatoes, stirring to break them a bit, and cook until the edges are brown and oil turns red, about 6 minutes. Stir the fennel and tomatoes together!"
"Next, add the garlic, bay leaves, fennel seeds, and red pepper flakes to the skillet, then scatter the saffron over the mixture. Cook, stirring, for about 2 minutes. Then, add the parsley, 1 cup of basil and 1 teaspoon of salt. Reduce the heat to a medium, and stir occasionally for about 15 minutes! Remove and throw away the bay leaves- we're almost done. ♪"
"Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti in a large pot of boiling water until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water. Add the spaghetti, cooking liquid and reserved tomato juice to the sauce and toss, about 3 minutes. You top the pecorino and the remaining 1/2 cup of basil. Viola! We're finished. ♫"
"As a result, we have Sardinian Spaghetti! Please enjoy your meal, and enjoy your day. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me. ♪ Thank you for your time!" [Curtseys with a smile placid across her face, and strolls away along with the other contestants.]
*Is back in town and notices Felicity down the road in front of her. With a small smile, she gets a bit closer before raising her hand up to wave a little* Hello Felicity. How have you been?
[Is sweeping some of the accumulated snow away from her doorstep, offering walking room to any potential visitors. Notices the hand gesture, smiling brightly at the sight of Bianca before waving back.] Hello Bianca.♪ [Places the broom against the wall, patting down her dress before answering.] I have been well, thank you for asking. The cold weather makes my energy low, but nevertheless, my health is good. How have you been? How are the children?
(( You all deserve plethoras of candies and love from everyone!♡ I apologize for not being here to celebrate it with you all OOC and IC. A very close friend of mine passed away last Sunday... So I have been emotionally unstable all week. However, I plan to get up and running by tomorrow or Tuesday. It'll make me feel better. :) I love you all!♡ ))
The young man couldn’t help but laugh at her statement - she certainly was nice it seemed. “Heh - Strange thing they’ve got going on here.” The redhead chimed as she tied back on the garment. “Picking a guy’s tie? Seriously? — But whatever, least my partner sure is pretty cute ♥.”
Another teasing laugh escaped the man, standing up tall and looking to the petite brunette with a risen brow. “So I suppose - may I have this dance?” He offered his hand and a smile, assuring it was still alright with the young woman before proceeding any further.
“Name’s Doug by the way - if that eases your nerves any ♪.”
While finishing up his tie, she giggles at his commentary about the game played here with the ladies and gentlemen. "Strange? How so? Tell me more." The brunette stands back up with her back arched straight, humored by his indirect flirting. "Oh, stop it. ♥ Thankfully, I picked your tie out of all of them."
Crossing his arms for the small portion of silence between them, she glanced down at him with interest. "Yes, you may.~" She dipped her hand down into his, smiling gently as she walked alongside to him out onto the dance floor.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Doug. I'm Felicity.♪"
[Holds the glass of champagne carefully in his grasp, peeking over the young woman's shoulder and raising a brow as he looked her up and down.] Well lookie here! [Let's out a soft whistle.] Daddy let you out of the house dressed like that? Something I wouldn't have expected ♪.
[Straddles the stem of her champagne glass in her hand, not even noticing the young man peeping over her shoulder before he finally piped up.] Phillip? [Turns around, twirling her dress in the process. Rolls her eyes humorously at the soft whistle.] Well there are some things Daddy doesn’t need to know, now does he? ♪ Joking, of course.
You’re looking handsome this evening. No more of that farmer get-up~? [Giggles softly.]
“Who the hell —” The dwarf looked around in annoyance. What a stupid game! What if someone ended up taking his tie to begin with! Looking for once certain gal with his tie was certainly hard enough as is. He released a long sigh through his nostrils — before perking up as the woman spoke his name.
“Hm?” He looked to the woman with widened eyes, his silver gaze blinking as she held out his tie. ” … … … ” Doug took a prolonged pause, before standing up straight and clearing his throat. “A-Ahem yep that’s mean! You’ve certainly found the right guy!”
Way to play it cool. The redheaded man tried to calm his demeanor, looking back to the woman before leaning out and letting his lips turn up into a smirk. He had to admit she was pretty cute. “Tie it back on for me yeah ♪?”
She tenderly smiled, using all of her pearly whites to satisfy his widened oculars. "Are you okay?" Felicity leaned forward, becoming slightly concerned with his prolonged pause. It couldn't have possibly been because of her dress... did she look that good? When he suddenly returned to reality, the elated young woman giggled quite effeminately. "Well I'm happy I did! It would be embarrassing of me to come up to the wrong man."
Way to make yourself sound strange. Nervous as is attempting to retain a confident vibe, the brunette lifted an eyebrow at the offer. This was different... but nevertheless, she would play along. "Of course.♪" Felicity bent her knees to meet his height, and tied it back around his neck delicately.
"May I say how handsome you look this evening? The effort you put into it is obvious. ♪"
Felicity selected the tie of... Doug. The perfect opportunity to meet a new person here at the ball. Apparently, the colour of the tie was the same colour as the tie the man wore. Wearing her high heels strapped tightly to her ankles, she strutted around looking for her man.
Finally, she believed she found the right one. He was... rather short, but... who knows. It was not right to judge them on their appearance! Besides, the stranger looked quite dapper in his suit. Taking her fingers and pushing some of her silky hair behind her shoulder, she approached him with a smile.
[Brushes her hair, gazing at her own reflection in the mirror.] ... ♪ [Hums a sweet melody as she places the comb down, and takes a couple of steps back. She begins to twirl in circles in front of the body-sized mirror, admiring her dress.]
[Confident enough in her attire, she wobbles in her heels to the front door. Kissing her father on the cheek farwell for the time being, she slips into a coat and mittens, and leaves her abode.]
Felicity! [Chimes in response, a laugh escaping him as she brought him into the hug.] — Hey watch it! [A smirk turned up on his lips, adjusting the gift behind his back as the ginger tinted hair young man stepped back away from her slightly.]
[Cyan eye’s glimmered with increasing excitement.] Well to wish you a Merry Christmas of course! ♪ [Finally, his hands come around to present a bouquet formed of white and indigo.] They bloomed a bit late - hence my tardiness on delivering them to you. [Adjusts the gift, so it was no longer cradled in his arms - rather presented out to the brunette young woman.]
It’s a mix of gentians, snowdrops and blue roses. ♪
[Closes the door gently behind him, stomping her feet on the doormat between them.] In person?! I would have never expected! Merry Christmas to you too! ♪ [Wipes off leftover snow upon her shoulders before seeing the beautiful bouquet.] O-Oh—? [Leans in close to observe the flowers before taking a step back.] T-They're... for me?
[Tenderly accepts the flowers, marveling at each individual petal.] O-Oh my gosh, Phillip... [Smells them softly before smiling profoundly at him.] The flowers are so beautiful. I've never seen them before. [Bundles them in one fist before embracing him in another hug, only this time, thrice more sincere and lengthened in time.] Thank you so much... ❤ It means so much to know you came out all the way in this weather to deliver these.
[Knocks on one side of her head jokingly.] Where are my manners? Please — come inside. Can I get you anything to drink? Are you hungry?

[Walks towards him in the living room, clasping her hands in front of her.] The cold and bitter weather has been making me more sluggish lately, so I’ve been staying home. [Shrugs.] How are you, Lukas? Can I get you something?
*Brows raise with curiosity, arms crossing over her chest.* I see~ and which island did you like best? *Nods, standing a tiny bit taller as a wave of pride washed over her.* But of course~ *Shuts her eyes for a second, nodding with understanding.* It does seem quite unusual, but I’ve always liked quieter, smaller places. There aren’t any paparazzi or fans here, so I can relax all I want~
*Eyes widen, a nervous laugh leaving her lips as her grip on her arms tightened.* Monsters?! What do you mean? There are no such things as monsters! *Pupils shift from side to side anxiously as she tried to maintain a calm demeanor.*
[Thinks back for a couple moments.] I think my favorite island would have to be Sprout or Meadow. But I admire all of them! [Listens closely as they stand beside each other on the beach.] That can be understandable for a celebrity like yourself. Is that why you chose to move out to the Sunshine Islands?
[Stands there awestruck by her behavior, not being used to people becoming frightened about monsters like this.] ... ♪ [Giggles humorously, shaking her head in denial.] No, there are many monsters here and around Kardia. Instead of farm animals, the farmers here have monsters to make produce!
