the reactions i've been seeing to lottie's death make me think the season 3 yellowjackets viewers are largely new, young, and casual or else have not been paying attention. i promise you on the mystery horror they'll reveal to you the circumstances of the mystery horror. "they wasted her potential" you haven't seen the rest of the season. "they gave her an off screen death" you haven't seen the rest of the season. "they didn't explain where she was or why she was there" you haven't seen the rest of the season. equally many cases of "the writers never knew how to write the character they created" well, no. you don't know how to read the character they've written. she's not yours. you are not more correct about her than her creators. AO3 is a beautiful place but you need to log off of it for one minute if you intend to seriously engage with the real show.
