Almost a year ago I lost my skills and independency

I don’t really know why,and I don’t know how to reverse it. I feel like i got slower,I now have issues with grammar that I’ve never had before,and I’m completely mute since the end of may. I assumed it was skill regression,but I really don’t know. I need help with showering,prompting for most things and I can’t go anywhere alone. Did anyone else experienced this? Or something similar,idk,I just wanted to share

reminder to all disabled people that you’re allowed to tell people “i can’t do that” about stuff you can ‘technically’ do but which harms you or requires a period of recovery or preparatory rest etc. you don’t have to explain the complex nuances of your condition to anybody who demands it. i’ve found it’s honestly better to give the least amount of info about your symptoms unless you trust a person a lot. you hold the power over your health information. you choose whether or not to share the details of your condition with people who might not understand.

abelds have this funky ability where they hear disabled people say they "can't" do something and instead of hearing "can't" as in, cannot, they hear "i can if i push myself and i just don't wanna". which is really interesting!

~Introduction~

I wanted “my own corner of the internet” (as tumblr says) so here I am.

I am a queer disabled 16 year old,and I just recently started exploring my identity more deeply,looking for microlabels that could reflect my feelings.

~

I am autistic,with moderate support needs and I have ADHD. I’m also semiverbal and I have selective mutism (which are related,but also not,because my mutism isn’t always caused by anxiety)

~

I am also physically disabled,I’m getting a diagnosis for Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and other things that are wrong with me but it is my “main” illness. I have also auditory processing disorder.

~

I don’t really feel good about self diagnosing so I’m just suspecting that I have ME/CFS (mild atm),IBD,some form of other dysautonomia and something causing me to have ticks.

I will talk here about my disabilities,my family life,struggles,etc. I want to find more open minded people and explore more identities.

Hot take I genuinely dgaf if a queer person uses "too many micro labels", has a "confusing identity" or uses xenogenders to label how they feel. It's none of my business and if someone feels like any of these clicks with how they feel inside, and subsequently it brings them joy, then who am I to mock them for it?

actually microlabels and xenogenders and weird pronouns are cool as fuck and anyone who says otherwise lacks whimsy in their life send post
