Another exciting thing is i had to procure a gooseneck stand and webcam for college online (which i started this week :D) so i might be able to do art streams!!!!

Really bothers me how we now know that brains differ to the point that some people can’t even visualize images at all and artists still act like “I got here through hard work, anyone can be as good as me if they practice!”

Also, just anxiety/depression/ADHD making it fucking impossible to draw, or even setting you back to square one because you somehow can’t remember how you did basic things. Like, fuck, I WAS able to draw well a month ago, but not now I can’t!

Still salty about an artist that said something like “I don’t understand how any artist can have art block, because if you’re really passionate about drawing, you won’t be able to stop drawing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯” Seriously, fuck right off with that.

Idk if this is relevant but this is why its a pet peeve of mine to be told im talented instead of skilled. Ive actively told family members it took me a long time and a lot of frustration to get where i am and they always respond with "well its a little bit of natural talent too ;) ) its not. Some people start further along or with help. Some people have set backs because of how/if they visualize things.

Also silvernheart in the replies mentioned not being able to see in 3-D, and called it a "flattened headspace" which big thanks tbh i never had a good way of describing how my brain makes things and why i struggle to make things pop.
