So, when I first made this blog, I had a real rough time. It was a slow process due to my inactivity almost immediately after making it, but after returning from a long hiatus, I have made some amazing new friends that I legit can’t imagine being anywhere away from them.         Peridot followed her fingers and her curious expression; she was reading the best she could. It was only until recent, once she started residing on earth, that she was exploring new ways of clicking into communication. She was used to the obvious. Words, thoughts and actions were all that she needed to get her point across, but without words, how could she understand this speechless gem?

        Her body language was her voice, and Peridot had to focus her everything to be able to understand her. Slowly she lowered her gaze to the diamond shape on her uniform. A frown appeared and she put her small fingertips on the yellow diamond framed in the center. Her affiliations with the diamonds were no more, and she was exploring new uniform ideas with the Crystal Gems. Just not as of yet.

        ❝Oh, this.❞ Her voice was soft and almost inaudible as she remembered her past, her missions and her jobs. ❝I am not… – I am no longer affiliated with the Diamonds.❞ She blurted out. It felt good. ❝I am now living here on Earth with the Crystal Gems. And.. I am not going to hurt you.❞

Hearing the familiar name, purple as Charoite gem itself eyes widened in vivacious astonishment. Completely forgetting about her injury, she already parted pale lips with the desire to speak, but very quickly came to bitter realization of her inability to pronounce even the simplest sound. It was so silly and naive of her to forgot about that...

With a silent exhale, she slowly dropped her hands away from the cracked gem and turned her back to Peridot, seems to be thinking about something with her sight on blue sky of her native planet. Everything seemed so different yet they could still be here... She could still be here if not this last ambush... 

Her gaze lowered to blue rhombus on her own albeit unwanted uniform, which she squeezed and scratched with her slim hand a moment later, shutting her eyes in melancholy expression. She could still be sonorous...

After some time in thought, she faced the green gem again, giving her small nod with still a little incredulous look. She still wasn’t sure if she could believe her...

        Reaching for the fragile, cracked gem, Peridot felt as though her advances towards her to assist meant nothing. She backed further and further away from her helpful hands. Sure, she knew that the poor thing was scared and upset, confused and lost, but that’s where Peridot came into play. She could help, if only she’d let her.

         It was kind of scary, seeing the crack spread across her gem. A shiver froze her body in thinking about how much that must hurt, how much it could taint and change a gem by such a simple little cut. But if this gem would just trust her for a second, she could take her to Steven, Steven could fix her! Then all of the problems for this cracked gem could be gone. But now the problem was getting her to follow.

       ❝It’s okay, you’re cracked. I .. I have somebody that can help you, they can heal you! Doesn’t that sound amazing? How– How did that happen?❞ Gazing at her neck, there was no way that she could have fallen and hit right there. Something, somebody must have hit her. Though, she hoped it was the first initial thought.

       ❝W-Where did you come from? Are you from—❞

Further speech turned part of Charoite fears into a slight confusion. Usually, soldiers of Yellow Diamond sounded firmly and steadily, fully reflecting the character of their leader - unshakable and purposeful yet ready to do anything for their ambitious goals. She often had to hear their discussions with her forced mistress. This gem didn’t sound like that...

Сarefully moving one palm away from her neck with an incredulous look, violet gem pointed to the yellow emblem on the chest of Peridot, circling it’s borders with her index finger in the air and tilting her head a bit aside. Could it be a trick?...

Despite reassurances in her safety, cracked gem cautiously moved away, covering the neck with slightly trembling in fear hands. Even without limb enhancers, this uniform… This peridot belonged to Yellow Diamond and it’s only frightened violet fragile gem even more. 

They found her… Just a few days after her returning to Earth from seemingly endless bondage and they found her! What she’s going to do now, unarmed and alone?!…
