Ryū ga Gotoku Zero (Yakuza 0) Developer: SEGA | Platform: PlayStation 3
I’m still in shock that you can still play the original Splatoon online....on the bloody Wii U. Mostly Japanese players though.
I finally outsmarted the chickens in Zelda :-)
Sonic Unleashed (2008)
Developer: SEGA/Sonic Team | Platform: XBOX 360
Could always stand to see more erm....black & white kart racers :D
Ever see a game and instantly know what system it was developed on just by the ascetics alone?
Fun reminder that Bill Farmer (Goofy) voiced Makoto Date in the original PS2 version of Yakuza. Can't help but grin every time I hear him drop that "F" bomb
Added a 1TB HDD to my oldass PS2. Because why not?
I was today years old when I found out you can get one of the familiars in Symphony of the Night to sing to you.
So a little context on what this is... This is an AI upscale of the raw MPEG-1 data on the CD-i version of Brain Dead 13. In essence, this is all of the animation (or video) used in the game. Since this was sourced from one single file, various scenes are not in proper order, though obvious clips such as death scenes are found near their respective scenes (CD scan times and all) While the upscaling isn't perfect, it's a major quality boost none the less. Also of note is this version of the game (Phillips CD-i) requires the MPEG video cart to run, something no other version of the game appears to require (MPEG decoding). One could assume this is the high quality version of the game, possibly next to the now defunct iOS release.
Finally decided to sit down and try Burning Rangers, and uh wow. Pretty wild for a late SEGA Saturn game. Only problem is the theme song is now stuck in my head 🤬
Really weird looking at different ports of Rayman, and finding all the minor arbitrary differences in graphics & sound.
I'm a sucker for these old tech demos and adverts. Who doesn't love the "golden age" of MultiMedia 🙃
It’s crazy to think that a free patch for a console game essentially remasters it. Looks better than an early Pixar movie o.O
