I am not done talking about Horse Reality this fine noon.

One thing thats hilarious to me, is that for COI(Coefficient of inbreeding) it only matters how often is an ancestors on both sides of your pedgiree. Meaning if you take an horrible inbred horse and bred it with another horrible inbred horse but from a different line you get an almost not inbred horse.

Both Arathorn 65.48% and Belorath 30.96% are horribly inbred. For those of you who never worked with a COI, 25% would be the offspring of a ParentXChild or of two siblings. 50% would be the offspring of identical twins. So Arathorn is even above that, Belorath between that. Real-life breeders would probably aim for a COI under 15%.

But because they are both from different lines their child Cumbrael is only 1.19% inbred 🤣

One thing I like on Horse Reality so much compared to Flight Rising, Wolvden,Lioden and even Pawborough is that low gen horses are worth nothing. (Unless in the newest breeds)

I like building my legacy, I like being able to follow my current horses pedigree back to my foundation stock, horses I got from the foundation or some of the first ones I bought in a breed.

I can look at my current best Norman Cob Stallion and know he is the result of playing this game 8 years.

His pedigree and if we follow the mare line

Antesh -> Kula -> Livella -> Aislinn -> Calanthe, you reach Triss, a mare I pulled from the foundation December 2018 when I decided I wanted to breed Norman Cobs for Driving.

Thats 17 Generations of breeding and improving.

In Flight Rising and Pawborough your dragons/Cats never die, so there isn't really something to breeed towards, except for the occassional color project.

In Wolvden and Lioden, improving your wolf's/lion's stats only happens with training, and even then, low gen is prefered.

Horse Reality is really the only pet sim game I play that really lets you breed for generations and years towards a goal, improving slowy generation by generation.

Absolutely start that breeding project! Those two months will be the fastest and luckiest three months you’ll ever spend on this site. In fact, those four months will go by so quickly you won’t even realize five months have passed. If you start right now, it should only take you about six months to get your target— and with a little bit of luck, it just might only take a year.

sometimes when i get a crepe order wrong, i just close out of the game (usually im done playing anyways which is why i messed up, i was losing interest)

just imagine an employee getting your order wrong and when you ask them to correct it they just walk away, out of the store, never to be seen again
