MAJOR DELTARUNE CHAPTER 5 SPOILERS!!!!!! PROCEED WITH CAUTION

I just wanted to put out all my thoughts about the chapter because I just finished it and it was keeping me up at night LMAO

so first things first I think I spent literally an hour or more messing around in castle town because there’s just so much cool stuff 😭obviously one of the first things I did was check on my beloved mikes heh

the cutscenes were exactly like the newsletters because I kept tenna and I still absolutely loved it I love them and I liked being able to talk to them still afterwards lmao. I also found the secret door in the mike room?? there was a weird ass cat game that made me feel bad whenever the cat’s happiness levels went into the negatives and i couldn’t figure out how to make it stay happy GELP 😭

I just now opened another save that I did give away tenna in because of course I have multiple saves for that and. BATTAT. HES SO CUTE he definitely misses tenna dude there’s no doubt about it. he’s going to miss being mike and seeing tenna awhhg 💔

anyway speaking of the MIKES still, there was another pippins in the rhythm games section that told me “a colored pippins would give me a pat on the head if I didn’t miss any notes on 4rd sanctuary.”

I knew they were 100% lying to me. but as the battat glazer I was. I spent way too much time on that minigame and I still couldn’t do it LMAOO

also I love how susie made castle town her legitimate home and queen acts as her mother AWGGGGG ITS SO SWEET the darkners are like. her family it’s so nice 😭 and when she goes back at the end of the chapter they’re all waiting for her oughwasfhu it’s so wholesome

AND apparently leitmotifs are like. canon??? in the dojo, cap’n talks about how he worked in clover’s motif in the song he was making for her, but the funniest part was that he was having a lot of trouble making it 3 4 and was trying to argue that 4 4 is good too, but noooo clover wants her THREESSSS. it was just so silly and it made me like cap’n a little bit more somehow lol

one last thing about castle town: I figured out you can customize which recruits sit at the tables in the cafe which. really shouldn’t have taken me that long to figure out but it’s still cool LOL. but most importantly the thing I wanted to talk about was how elnina and lanino have very unique dialogue depending on where you put them. i don’t think much is unique to chapter 5 but something that I DO know is that if you put lanino with either of the mizzles he’s like. “elnina,,,did you like,,,get a haircut or something. you look different but it’s a good different you look very HOT today” LMAOOOOO

and if you put elnina with the mizzles it’s actually pretty sweet because she says she found her new bestie and wants to take a selfie 🥹 speaking of the mizzles rq, i was looking at the recruits’ descriptions and the description for miss mizzle is absolutely roasting her LMAO. in chapter 5 you can also see the recruits’ “wishes” now, and it says miss mizzle’s wish is to change her description and I just thought it was funny LOL

okay talking about the actual game now. (Skipping to the dark world because I don’t have a lot of notable things to say about the festival, though I do love my suselle 💞)

I really like how the whole time the chapter was trying to revert ralsei back to how he was in chapter 1 in a way?? like they kept putting his hat on him and telling him he looked ugly without it or something 😭 I think it just shows just how much ralsei has changed from when we first met him and how he’s trying to change fate and I thinks that’s actually very cool

and I. was so shocked when flowery was introduced with this fucking??? anime opening LMAOOOO. and I love how he has voice clips and the whole bit around it that I’ll talk about in a minute. ngl I didn’t really like him at first but he definitely grew on me LMAO I love him. he’s like. op but in a really funny way 😭

ralsei’s rivalry with him is really funny too, I never would’ve expected ralsei to have genuine beef with anyone ever. it was definitely a new side of him I’ve never seen before, but it was really cool. Flowery in general is just really cool, but also really sus. how does he know the things he knows 💔💔 what is his deal. who does he think he is

definitely my favorite part though is when they made the freaking configuration menu CANON 😭 I mean I’m sure it already was but I wasn’t expecting it at all. I love how when we first meet flowery, literally the FIRST thing ralsei tells us is how to turn off voice clips in the configuration menu LMAOOOOO he wants to shut him up so bad 😭

and later he brings it up AGAIN when flowery is there, and then flowery tells us to be careful not to turn off ralsei’s accidentally, and then you see that’s actually an option HELPPP. I didn’t turn off ralsei’s that time but i definitely will. next time. just to see what happens lmao

also speaking of the menus, susie learns about the like. battles symbols on our screen and she’s just?? chill about it?? 😭 idk what she thinks but I’d be like. a little bit more confused yk LMAO

okay that’s enough about flowery now we need to talk about my goat. AQUA. MY QUEEN. SHES SO SILLY I LOVE HER. and I love the song that plays when you meet her. I looked on spotify for the name and it’s “who might you be?” I think. I’m pretty sure it plays in other areas too but I love it so much 🥹 aqua’s my favorite flower guys. Petal dance is really good too augh

also??? aqua and seth = patience and perseverance. as,,,friends??? as a duo??? thats so odd omg who would’ve guessed that. who could’ve ever imagined such a concept (almost nobody knows what I’m talking about LMAOOO but this is a win for the chimera nation 😼) patience and perse’s designs and personalities are nothing like aqua’s and seth’s, but it’s still really cool lol

also I love yellow. a lot. yellow’s so me I won’t lie. he’s so silly 😭 ignore how he tried to blow himself up he just got a little too silly yk. OH AND ORANGE. I love her too she’s so cute 🥹 she’s just like this little kid who wants to be strong and protect her loved ones she’s so sweet. I also love how she hid behind the paper walls to make herself look bigger lmaoo she’s like a kid playing pretend

blue and yellow are totally gay for each other and green’s a sweetheart I love them too. thank you for healing and cooking for me green 💚

the battles were so unique in this chapter too, not even just with the petal flower. everything was so fun to do and never got bored at all I loved it sm. and the petal flower!! is really cool!! I don’t have too much to say about it, but near the end when you have to have a quick reaction time to make susie and ralsei act, I love that they decide to just do it without me telling them to. It’s actually so sweet, I love it when they act as their own individuals /silly

I liked a lot of the other enemies you encounter too!! starting with the floradinns my beloveds of course. they’re so silly, they just wanna have fun 💞💞 and there was also that. high floradinn in blue’s room??? 😭 please dude omg. admittedly their dialogue was pretty funny LMAO

and there was that dog thing!! it wasn’t a dog I forgot what it was. kawkaw?? the thing that goes nyon and licks you. I like that thing. I’m going to make an oc of that thing watch /silly

and finally I really like the foxes / kitsunes I forgot the names off 🥹 cheeky things, they’re so cute. I hope they come to castle town, that’d be really fun lol

I was hoping for more jevil content ngl, us jevil fans have been starving, but at least he got name dropped once in a line of text and his theme song is referenced a lot, that’s all I can really hope for now lmao

there might be more jevil references that just haven’t found yet, but I don’t think it’d be like important lore or anything lol

I haven’t done the secret boss yet or even know who it is really, I just know it probably has something to do with the pink coins. I’m pretty sure I’m too slow to figure it out myself so I’ll probably find a guide or something later

one thing I WILL find out by myself though is the weird route version of chapter 5. the only I’ve heard about it is that it’s terrible, so I’m going to find out myself and its going to be HORRIBLE /pos

I just need to do the weird route for chapter 4 first, which I thought I had done already, but I guess not sighs 😔

anyway I’m very sure there’s some thing I forgot to talk about but this was an AMAZING chapter and I loved every second of it!!!!!! awesome chapter, I loved it AND I got more battat content /silly

So I'm. A bit skeptical about this one- mostly because I worry too much about the outlines. I just don't have all those art equipment and shit, I used my damn one and only black-inked ballpoint pen, and since those pens like to stop inking for a sec, it looks a bit weird on the painting. And I can't use my fineliner because that would mis into the watercolor even in its dried state. So yeah XD

Nate man I just hope you like it, and it's also my first time drawing Whisk so KUZUM. I GOTTA prepare myself for more on digital huhuhu (I have to draw Poyo and Polaris)
