Therian related snack I make myself I call 'cat food'

Put some feta cheese, generous portion of salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, basil, turmeric, black pepper, white pepper, oregano, cayenne, celery seed, and a dash of lime juice into whichever canned tuna you like best, stir it up. Microwave for ~45 sec if you're a fancy cat that likes their food warmed. Boom. Cat food. Tasty for humans but good for the texture and fishy-ness.

Not safe for your actual pet. Feel that goes without saying.

I’m in london england, seeing things no one has ever seen before

ACTUALLY though, I have been observing the england pigeons and I’m ready to make a statement

their ceres (the white part of their beak) are larger than Canadian pigeons. not sure why. also, their bodies are sleeker and longer. this is probably because pigeons back home have to survive -35C winters, so only the hefty round ones survive.

I wonder if the smaller ceres in Canadian pigeons are also a cold adaptation? because it’s an exposed fleshy bit with lots of nerve ending for sensory purposes, so I can see frostbite being a problem. or maybe it’s just that different escaped breeds contributed to the population.

I’m also noticing a colour I haven’t seen back home! VERY dark black (like the left hand pigeon in the photo above). looks like they rolled around in soot. definitely worth the 7 hour plane ride to see these special guys

i agree so much about making your blorbos pathetic but i do fear that many take this to mean 'make them more traditionally feminine/submissive' which genuinely hurts my soul. make your blorbos pathetic in interesting character-oriented ways. understand their neuroses and turn the dials up to eleven. juxtapose the parts of life they handle extremely well with the parts of their lives that make them eat shit. make them angry. make them cold. make them pave their own way to hell while building walls preventing them from seeing any other way. please i'm begging you no more pathetic as an euphemism for bottoming im gonna mclose it.

things I’ve noticed in the UK:

- when you’re jay walking, cars will actively accelerate bc the drivers want to kill you for breaking the rules

- servers in restaurants act very scared and apologetic, so maybe people aren’t nice to them here??? or I could be terrifying

- it’s really cute when little kids have British accents, but I’m unmoved by adults with accents

- extremely good gluten free options. this country is like 20 years ahead of Canada in that regard

- people will give random insignificant buildings names with little plaques. and then that’s the name that shows up on the map. like even a smaller than average family home, you can name it like it’s a dog

- lots of brick and stone buildings. looks cute and charming until you enter one and there’s no air conditioning

- people are still wearing jaguar print. I like this. don’t let it die

i know things are hella grim in the nsfw/kink art circles especially in the last year --

but I'm hearing there's a NSFW-friendly ko-fi alternative built on atproto that's actively in the works, and being vetted by lawyers right now. as torrent-princess (OP) says, you should be able to swap out payment processors while keeping your account intact. this matters since even if stripe removes support, you'll still have a shop and all of your links intact. (ATproto is an infrastructure that bsky is built on, but is far bigger than bsky with far more opportunities.)

additionally, the Free Speech Coalition is working on a credit union specifically for adult work (including kink art) - here's the link so you can add your interest & support. Since this will be built by sex workers, there'll be far less risk of being debanked for spurious and puritanical reasons.

on a domain TLD level, there's an initiative here for a .furry domain built from the ground up by seasoned furries; it's unclear whether they'll support NSFW, but it's yet another promising turn of events for a group that's been similarly affected by censorship.

there are friends and allies out there helping to build a working parallel infrastructure. keep being vocal, keep supporting these initiatives when it's possible, and keep supporting your nsfw/kink artists. ♥
