As someone who knew literally nothing about witch hat atelier before watching the anime I can't get over how funny how they introduced Olruggio. We hear NOTHING about this man and just are led to believe that Qifrey is the only one in charge of the atelier for ALMOST HALF OF THE FIRST SEASON. Then suddenly in episode 6 we find out that not only is there another guy who oversees the atelier but that this is the guy that is meant to ensure Qifrey DOESN'T GET UP TO ANYTHING. So Coco's first introduction to this man is him going 'Qifrey you had ONE JOB while I was gone'

Do you think Beldaruit has a decorative spell that says love is love AT THE READY for when Qifrey tells him that Olruggio and him are together? Like every time when they were younger and Qifrey was like 'master I have something to tell you' he has that READY TO GO and then it was just Qifrey telling him that he did something stupid on the mainland.

I kind of think this works because I relate to both WHA and IDWTBAMG for the different ways they reflect being an artist, WHA for the journey and how you can find bits of yourself in different characters and relate no matter where they are in their progress as witches and IDWTBAMG for being a great allegory for artist burnout and how sometimes that results in a complicated relationship with the thing you used to love doing and distancing yourself from it a bit for your own mental health (which I relate to heavily 😅). Side note: I genuinely think Zira would make a good witch, just maybe don't have her be an apprentice with Coco, I don't think the constant danger would be good for her 😂
