Hugging (2025)
I just realized i never uploaded this to my art blog. Here is an 18"x18" acrylic painting of two trans people hugging. Their hug creates a big spark :)
This artwork was exhibited at ARTS at King Street Station in Seattle, WA as a part of their fresh perspectives exhibition!
Tried something new,,dunno how to feel about it

"a lot of people with extreme kinks have them because of childhood trauma" cool and true, not me though. i dont really like this thing that people do where they feel the need to stipulate that kink stuff is understandable/palatable because its a result of mental illness. sometimes people just like stuff and that has to be okay too. if youre gonna be cool with kinks, you gotta be cool with kinksters who like it for no reason. and yeah that includes the sadists.

Can we please stop saying things like “Nat ruined Travis’ life with drugs” and was “always getting him to relapse.”
Travis shows signs of addictive, compulsive coping in the wilderness, often when he is emotionally separated from Nat entirely. His struggles are rooted in trauma, grief, survivor’s guilt, repression, and unbearable emotional pain. Nat’s addiction is born from the same place. They are two traumatized addicts who absolutely feed into each other’s unhealthy patterns, but mutually.
Nat says they both tried to keep each other clean. And when Lottie asks her what happened when Nat and Travis last saw each other, she says, “What always happens,” implying there is a repeating cycle of relapsing together whenever they are around each other for too long. Taissa refers to their relationship as a “trainwreck,” says Nat and Travis are “the worst for each other,” and implies that she has had to “drag” Nat out of “that toxic shit” multiple times. It’s a mutually toxic relationship, and that’s what makes it interesting!
Nat and Travis are both addicts. They feed into each other’s addictions, obsessions, and unhealthy coping mechanisms in an extremely codependent, mutually destructive way. Travis has his own destructive patterns and his own part to play in the toxicity of his and Nat’s relationship. He is not living healthy and innocent until Nat comes into his life and wrecks it all. Framing addiction and relapse as something Nat imposed onto Travis misunderstands both their dynamic and addiction itself.

Supergirl doodles!! Who's excited for supergirl summer? :D
Very normal about the fact that Jackie continued to be put on a pedestal even after death. That the facade she put on for others outlived her. That no one ever truly knew who she was or how much she was hurting or what she really wanted. She never got to go to college or breakup with Jeff or change her clothes and dye her hair, she never got to be anything other than what people thought she should be. And now she’s just an idea, forever to be molded into whatever image people wanted her to be (a saintly daughter, a spoiled mean girl, the perfect angel team captain who was taken too soon). Very normal about this. Definitely doesn’t make me want to chew glass.

new propaganda campaign just dropped (now an actual print!)
i think lottie was simultaneously desperate to ensure nat’s safety and elated to put shauna in charge. the whole scene is an overlap between lottienat and butcherqueen. not too enthusiastic about the former, but it’s clear just how much lottie cares about natalie.
Same I think she was both de-escalating and had also had Shauna in mind as a leader ever since the trial. I don't ship lottienat but obviously Lottie cares for Nat and doesn't want her to be hurt - at least here. It makes the way she seems to side with Shauna threatening Nat in 3x10 interesting - at that point in the story, when Nat mercy killed Ben, Lottie was still afraid of violence, but post-murdering Edwin she wasn't and seemed to now accept bloodshed between the group as It's will.
