How I imagine Kakashi and Sakura ending up together in Naruto
In my head. During war arc, Kakashi already has feelings for her but not in the romantic way. She’s just the most special person to him. It’s the closest thing to love he’ll ever feel.
I think of it that way because all throughout canon, he gives her a bit more special treatment which is bizarre coming from Kakashi. He’s more gentle towards her (But not that good of a teacher 😅.. I’m not gonna dive as to why, it’s how I saw it)
Sakura still has her feelings for Sasuke. I’ll go with canon’s reasoning. She only wishes what’s good for him. That’s why, she keeps on giving love even if it hurts. She’s loyal to a fault.
Kakashi to her is Kakashi-sensei. To her, Kakashi is someone who is also important to her. She gets worried whenever he stubbornly refuses to go to the hospital. Often times, she uses force on him but he’s elusive enough to survive from her.
I see the atmosphere of their relationship (in general) as playful and light. She may drag his ass to the hospital every now and then but she knows when to respect his decisions. There’s still a boundary.
In my head, Sakura would heal him in his home most of the time to save from trouble.
In canon, each of Team 7’s dream has downsides to it. Naruto and his time to his family. Itachi’s death (sniff) isn’t a happy sight. And in my version, Sakura would see the reality of dating Sasuke.
Sasuke is not the cheater type. Just the I-don’t-have-a-clue-how-to-treat-a-girl type.
Also: emotionally constipated
Sakura would try so hard. She’s already aware of what’s he’s like and she accepts him. But it’s different experiencing it first hand.
Sasuke would be often gone. (Just like in canon)
And Sakura would still be loyal. (Just like in canon)
She already forgave him for everything he’d done to her or even the things he’s doing to her. But the hurt will accumulate. The trauma in Sasuke’s killing attempts will haunt her when she’s dreaming at night. There’s only so much she can take.
And then they break up.
It would be done mutually because they agree it’s the best thing to do. Sasuke wants to find himself and pay for his sins and Sakura do love him but there’s only so much feelings can do.
She’ll be heartbroken and lost. She spent most of her life chasing and loving him. She’ll pour her energy to her career and she’ll be more known throughout the shinobi world and field of medic not as part of Team 7 who defeated Kaguya but as Sakura Haruno. A civilian girl who doesn’t belong to any clan but rose from the bottom to the top.
Years would pass. She’ll move on and she’ll be okay. By that time, most of her friends have a family already even Sasuke. Karin is Sarada’s mother.
Kakashi and Sakura have gotten closer because of their jobs.
And since most of her friends are busy with their families, she hangs out with Kakashi the most.
Outside of work, Sakura doesn’t address Kakashi as hokage. And Kakashi doesn’t call her by her title either.
To each of them, they are only Kakashi and Sakura. The boundary that was there before is gone. They already shared their stories and secrets with one another. Even things Sakura had never told Ino, she’s able to share it with Kakashi.
Kakashi had finally able to open up all his pent up emotions with her.
They would be very comfortable and each other’s emotional support.
Somewhere along the way, they’ll notice each other. They’ll find each other attractive in a desirable sense.
There will be sexual tensions between them but since they’re adults they would talk about this over a drink.
Sakura always know what she wants and she would like to try dating with Kakashi.
Kakashi would be hesitant at first. But after Sakura talked (maybe beat) some sense into him, he’d realized it’s time to live for himself. He deserves to be loved and to be happy too.
Sakura had dreamt of love. But she’s the last person in her generation in Konoha to find love. And it is in a way where she doesn’t even need to try. It came naturally. A love with mutual respect, love and trust. A love where it’s equal and both of them give their best in loving one another.
They get married and have kids in the end. In my head, I want them to have three kids.
The first one would be a boy that looks like Kakashi (because Hatake’s genes are strong) but has eyes like Sakura. I don’t have a name for each of them yet. He also has a mole but placed near below his left eye.
He takes after his mom in shinobi affinity and talents. He’ll be able to store chakra and master strength of 100 at a young age.
The second and third ones would be fraternal twins. A boy and a girl. They would both have pink hair and heterochromia eyes. One onyx and one emerald. They would take after both their mom and dad in their abilities. But the girl is more of a lightning affinity user. The boy is more of taijutsu and earth affinity user.
All three of them have special ninken summons. And there would be lots of puppies in Hatake’s household.
They’ll bring glory to Hatake clan.
Their reputation makes them look like they’re fearsome and intimidating. (Which hold some truth)
But if you actually visit their household, they’re the chillest and untraditional clan there is.
The family would be into taking photos. Sakura would have trouble in having their family picture taken looking decent because of all the puppies running around and their children playing with them. And Kakashi refusing to show his face.
After getting scolded by her, they get their photos taken. And it took all day to get it done.
