hello. we are the silvermoon system. this is our sideblog for talking about and exploring our alterhumanity and plurality. we have known for a long time we are not human, and have recently begun to realize we are not singular. we are relatively new to both alterhuman and plural spaces.
when referring to us collectively, you may call us silvermoon and use it/its or they/them pronouns (neither is preferenced).
if more information is desired, it may be found under the cut.
housekeeping
to get it out of the way, this blog is pro endo, proship, and pro personal autonomy to do basically anything that doesn't hurt others. censorship, sanitization, and facism have no place here.
that said, all content will be tagged appropriately with what it is, so no one has to see it if they don't want to. if we fail to tag something, you are welcome to tell us.
if you have a problem with specific content we post, tumblr has a feature under settings>account to filter either tags or post content. if you have a problem with us in general, tumblr has a feature under the three dots on the upper right of this post to block this blog. no judgement from us, genuinely.
interacting
the only hard boundaries we have for interacting (breach of which will result in blocking) are to please keep it civil, good faith, and sfw.
otherwise, anyone is welcome and encouraged to send asks of most any type. ask us about our identity, our opinions on your favorite book, tell us about yourself or your blorbo or a weird cloud you saw, whatever you like. dms are also welcome, though if you open like a bot and your blog is empty or scam shaped, we may assume you are a bot. we are mostly happy to talk, even if we do not respond right away. we do not have the tumblr app and as such do not recieve notifications.
we are most comfortable in english pero podemos hablar un poco de español si quiere.
mostly, we are happy to engage in genuine interaction, and trolls and bigots will be blocked.
alterhumanity and plurality
our plurality and alterhumanity are intertwined in ways that are often difficult to distinguish.
we are a shapeshifter with no true form, which makes distinguishing our other aspects no simple undertaking.
we are plural as in many of our voices echo as many voices at once, a thing which is one but also is many. we also contain multiple distinct entities, beings in their own right.
there are a number of us who coexist within this body, some of whom fade in and out, some of whom have lingered for quite some time now.
some of us are from fiction. doubles are welcome, source mates doubly so, as long as you do not attempt to override our memory/lived reality from the source.

midnight - they/it - kind of mad at everything for the most part. it's not personal. black feathered wings and claws and teeth and something altogether unnatural in shape. fluid in shape. perhaps draconic
runestone - they/it - they are music. they are also a cryptid, a shapeshifter, a machine, a crow, an owl, occasionally angelic, and often find themself in feathered wings, fangs, claws, talons, antlers, hooves. they are kinsidering otter, fox, aspen tree, camphor tree, jinx from arcane, a SecUnit from Murderbot Diaries, and the shape from the horror game "still wakes the deep"
nim - it/its - SecUnit fictive (murderbot diaries; not a canon character), likes music and efficiency. talk to it about its favorite soundtracks
aether - it/moon/whisper - not entirely here, everything, anything, nothing, what surrounds the between
alastor - he/him - alastor (hazbin hotel) fictive. does not concern himself with your ships.
kiki - she/her - kiki (kiki's delivery service) fictive. a proper young witch. mildly questioning her gender.
mirror - se/hir - one who feels deeply and strongly and reflects the beauty and horror of the world tenfold.
you may also encounter wolf, ace, vi, red, some sort of anomaly which doesnt have a name, and/or others
when a post or comment is by a specific headmate and they want to specify that, they will sign off as "~[name]" and (in the case of a post) tag it in the format "headmate//[name]"

The plural space belongs to everyone. All of us have an equal voice and no one’s experience outweighs another’s. Please stay kind to your system friends and neighbors. The world already has so much hate in it, it doesn’t hurt to be kind to others 🩷
vent below the cut (not angry or directed at anyone just tired of my own whatever)
i am the more experienced of two hosts, and i also end up fulfilling both gatekeeper and caretaker roles. i think its killing me. i already have such deep problems with always feeling the need to make sure everyone else is okay and feeling listened to and accomodated while never letting anyone listen to or accomodate me. always needing to be paying attention to make sure i dont miss somebody wanting to front, making sure that whatever im doing isnt disturbing any of my headmates peace, making sure everyones okay... aether helps with that last one a lot, but i just... im so stressed all the time, being on high alert like this. i need alone time but i cant get that because i cant ask for anything i need. and being actually alone is terrifying. but if im not actually alone, i cant let myself exist without contorting around others. but relinquishing my mantle of host/gatekeeper... thats the most terrifying prospect of all. i want control. i need control. control is *exhausting*
1813M has made a survey. He is interested to see which minority groups typically overlap with the alterhuman community.
He tried to include as many as possible, but he is sure there are some missing, and he apologises for that. Hopefully he has included enough.
He is very autistic about statistics and numbers, so he would appreciate as many responses as possible.
He may create a survey for adults only to see how many beings here are kinky and/or paraphiles, because he is very interested in that data as well. He is not sure how he would make it 18+, however, and would not be comfortable with minors participating.
Please help share this to reach a bigger audience.

i can never predict what character is going to introject from a piece of media. im pretty good at identifying which media is going to cause an introject but which character? exactly and only one time have i guessed right. otherwise i always think its gonna be the blue one and it's always the red one. the red one who is paired with the blue one. the young and inexperienced/immature blue one who is a loose canon and the red one who is their older and more experienced stabilizing foil but is also violent and unhinged and jaded. and they hate each other. but only mostly. hey so what
the idea that people in a system are just as much real living people as the host should not be controversial yet somehow here we are.....
I think that being alive and having a sense of individual identity is more than enough criteria to constitute Being A Person. someone's personhood and sense of self originating from something other than Physically Being Born doesn't make them any less of a real person. if people in a system would prefer to be treated like PEOPLE then I'm very sorry but that's really not a big ask and all that is required of you in return is basic kindness and respect. and I hope that is a managable task for most of you!

you know me, robin? guy whose blog this is? I am not ANY MORE of a person than sunny or francis or jasper or anyone else in my system. and they are not ANY LESS of a person than I am. the host of a system is not the "real one" and the rest of my crew aren't "extras". I'm the same as them. I'm a member of a system too!!!!! sunny is in my system, sure!!! BUT I AM ALSO A MEMBER IN HER SYSTEM!!!!! I don't own anyone!!!! when I'm away from front, I am in EXACTLY THE SAME POSITION AS EVERYONE ELSE IN HERE. this might be different for other systems but this is how it is for my bunch. and the friends I cherish the most are the ones who make an effort to understand this. sometimes being plural is realizing you're plural (headmate count: 3) then realizing the random voices in your head are also headmates (headmate count: 6) then realizing youve always been plural and those weirdly distinct personalities of yours that you gave names and doodled group pictures of (in your expansive and fantastical headspace no less) four years ago were also headmates and theyre back (headmate count: 9) and then you realize all characters ever are in a city in headspace (same place you go to have imaginary conversations with people you know to help you make decisions) and that when those characters leave the city *they become headmates* (headmate count: at least 12 and possibly 15 or maybe functionally infinite how do i even categorize this)
anyone else ever see the opening shot of a show and just immediately know youre getting a new introject from this media at some point in the next 1-3 business months
The whole “be yourself, whenever and wherever!” mindset works until you no longer look like a child,
until you aren’t following the mainstream media’s beauty standards,
until being yourself means not following human norms,
until you aren’t physically capable of expressing your identity.
Not all of the community has the privilege of age and/or a safe environment to be themselves ‘whenever and wherever’.
It’s unfortunate that social media latches onto representations of alterhumanity that appear as ‘harmless kids activities’. And if you are an adult, there needs to be a specific way of expressing your therianthropy that aligns with the harmless, docile, aesthetic nature of expression that is so common amongst younger therians.
If there is one solution I would offer is that short form content shouldn’t be your main form of alterhuman / nonhuman media, nor should it be the only place you post from.
and not in the way of wanting more people to have a dissociative disorder, but in the way of plurality being more accepted and known about.
and not just traumagenic plurality; all types of plurality.
everyone deserves a safe place to be themselves, which includes plurals of all kinds, no matter the origin.
we've known about our system for over 5 years now, and we've only managed to muster the courage to tell 2 people in our life about our plurality. we'd like it to be more, but we don't out of fear. fear of more abuse, fear of rejection, fear of abandonment, etc. Those fears are such common experiences throughout the system community that it's become a known problem, but by working to make the stigma around plurality disappear, we get closer and closer each day to a plural future. ♡
