My fundraiser from last month fell significantly short and I really need help. I am so sorry that I’m still in a position where I have to ask for help. But I am. I’m an unemployed transgender woman living in wildly conservative Orange County, CA. I had to leave my job because of consistent transphobic and sexual harassment. It’s a hard and stressful time, and I’m so broke that I don’t know how I’m going to keep paying for groceries, let alone medication, therapy for cptsd and depression, paying off the phone I had to buy after my old one stopped charging. i think one of the worst things the left wing internet ever did was push the idea that oppression is basically a virtue, and being oppressed is a sign of your morality. it has made it like…impossible for some of you to hold the idea that most people are privileged in some ways and oppressed in others. AND a lot of you seem to have it in your mind that terrible people cannot be oppressed, and that oppressed people cannot do terrible things, which is a dangerous rhetoric to hold imo.

Reminder that the whole point of Queerplatonic relationships is to be QUEER.
A *queering* of platonic relationships. As in non conventional. As in there are no rules. As in the whole assignment is to do whatever the fuck you want.
They aren’t exclusive to aspec people. They aren’t just a funky friendship. They aren’t just a romantic relationship without the kissing. Sometimes they DO kiss!!!! On the mouth!!!! Or have sex!! People are so ready to accept that aces and aros can still do sexual/romantic activities, but like. Why would that not include doing them with a QPR?????
The only thing that makes a specific relationship a QPR is the label itself. And that’s literally the only requirement. There’s lotsa funky queer relationships that aren’t labeled Queerplatonic just cuz those involved don’t wanna use the word.
Like how some bi or pan ppl chose their label because they liked the specific definitions some groups subscribe to for those words, and some just chose theirs because they like the flag colors better.
