The silence settled heavily upon the two women. There were words to be exchanged, words that Raven knew her companion wouldn't like to hear. What a twist of fate... She had been given the ability of flight by a headmaster who wished to use her as his eyes and ears, and instead, she ended up doing the same for her 'fallen' friend.

Still, a much better allegiance if you asked her.

Raven took her teapot and poured two cups. It was typically beneath the head of the Branwen Tribe to pour the tea herself, but she never brought any of her underlings on these visits. She couldn't. They both believed the utmost secrecy was the best course of action. Otherwise, maybe Summer's family wouldn't have been told that she died.

" The girls have the lamp, " Raven said as she set the cup in front of her companion. She wasn't sure if she could even drink tea anymore...or if she had a taste for it at all...but it was still a symbol of courtesy for her people. And it was a tradition for her visits. " I don't know how much they've been told about it, and I don't know how many lies Ozpin has filled their heads with. But...the relic is in Oz's hands now. " And that meant their daughters'. So much for a life of peace...

✿ There wasn't much of a reaction . A grasp of the teacup ⸺ turned quickly into gripping the handle the more she thought . She wasn't hiding the sour expression from her friend , really , Raven was the only person she trusted , so there was no need . Regardless , at the mention of the relics , it was hardly pleasant .

✿ ❝ Then it is a target on their backs ⸺ but I'm certain they know that . They were always nothing if not brave and caring ⸺ selfless , too . But , if I may ⸺ it wasn't like there wasn't a target already . It's just far more so now . What have they gotten themselves into ? ? ❞ She paused , clenching her teeth as she bit back her words .
