okay so I have an idea about Lila being exposed, a fun one and I’m not sure if anyone else has done it yet but what if Lila was exposed because she stole artwork online. Say Lila has an art instagram full of stolen artworks and she claims it all to be hers and the other class members see it and are very impressed with her skill, after all this unfortunately happens a lot when people’s stuff gets stolen people don’t know the original users are unless you reverse image search but even that can difficult depending on how many times the artwork is reposted so it’s a bit hard to disprove. 

So let’s say Lila shows her art to Nathaniel who upon seeing her work is instantly suspicious, as he recognizes a few pieces but Lila just claims she was the original person who does it. Another red flag he notices is that all the different artworks have significantly different art styles as they’ve been pulled from several different artists.  

The biggest kicker is when Nathaniel posts a piece of artwork to his insta, one that he has worked very hard on and is very proud of. Let’s say Lila doesn’t know his instagram and sees that the post is getting really popular, so she takes it and posts it on her own account claiming it as hers. She goes to school the next day to show it off, the class is impressed except for three people. Marinette, Marc and Alix who instantly recognize the art style and artwork as they both follow him online and have seen it. Nathaniel comes into the class and is very upset and very angry about the theft. Lila tries to turn the backlash onto Nathaniel, claiming that he was the one who stole it from her, people in the class are very skeptical about this as Nathaniel has shown his disdain for art thieves in the past. The nail in the coffin though is when Nathaniel shows the original work on either his tablet or sketch book which leads to everyone questioning her and realizing she’s been lying to them this whole time.

Nathaniel had noticed lately that a bunch of the art Lila claimed as hers were in wildly different styles. At first he tried to rationalize it, maybe she’d been branching out style-wise? Maybe she hadn’t actually found her own style yet?

It got much harder to rationalize away the differences when he caught a glimpse of an oddly colored part of a background. Only a shade or two off, but it was there. And it looked like it might cover a signature? Now that he was thinking about it, only a few of the art Lila had shown the class had a signature.

It was harder, but it was Lila. They’d talked a lot about how horrible it felt to have your hard work stolen like that. She wouldn’t steal from anyone. Right?

Nathaniel shuddered, he hated the idea that someone would try claiming his work as their own. He made extra sure that his signature was on the picture and would be hard to cover when he posted it to insta. He was proud of it and no art thief would stop that.

And he was right to be proud. It quickly became one of his most popular posts. So when he got to school on Monday and saw Lila showing off his work, claiming she had done it, he snapped at her.

Of course, most of the class took Lila’s side. But when Alix and Marinette got there and saw what was happening they took his side immediately.

“How can you prove it’s yours?” Kim asked.

A chorus of agreement swept through the room. Nathaniel took a deep breath, his hands were trembling, and pulled out his sketchbook. Flipping to the right page, he stalked over to Lila’s desk and slammed the book down in front of her.

There it was. The original sketch. Clear in view of the whole class. Nathaniel’s work.

Lila peeked out from behind her fingers when the class went deathly silent and Alya pulled away from her.

“How many others?” Nathaniel asked quietly, watching the panic appear and get locked behind Lila’s mask. “Were any of them actually yours?”

“How could you say that? How could you do this? After all the conversations we had about art theft.” Lila exclaimed back trying to extinguish the doubt in the eyes of those that watched her. Not everyone was convinced. Alix stood by Nathaniel trying her best to offer support, while Adrien gently touched Marinette’s wrist as if signalling for her to stay back. It was obvious Lila couldn’t win those artists over, artists who had had their work stolen. Instead her eyes settled on Ivan, Rose, and Juleka. After the situation with XY they were fuming the moment the accusation had touched the air. It was their weak spot really. Took any logic they may have away. “You said you wanted me to do a quick sketch and lent me your notebook as I had left my tablet at home. Then you do this to me?”

This was just an idea I had after the finale. Don’t know where it would go or what would happen. Nothing much happens, just I think it’d set up a story I haven’t thought of yet.

Adrien walked into the hotel which despite playing in for most of his life still was a strange place to him. As a child all the staff had changed so frequently, he had stopped making the effort to memorise names. The wall colours, desk arrangements, and even the name of the hotel Audrey would change on a whim if no one stopped her. It made it sort of sad to him that it had stayed so constant since he had reunited with Chloe. A certain sign Audrey had been gone a while. He shook that thought away though as quickly as it came, instead imagining Andre growing a spine against his wife and declaring no more remodelling. Still felt like a strange land though.

If I had anything to do with miraculous once or twice a season I would plot convenience dedicated to the Ladybug miraculous slowly getting more and more ridiculous. In canon in season 3 we had Marinette luckily having the horse miraculous (the one miraculous needed) on the one day Hawkmoth lost track of an akuma and Max’s mum was vulnerable to akumas which I consider pretty lucky, then you have Party Crasher with Fu just happening to be at the party with the box the one time Ladybug is taken out of action and back up is needed.

- Jagged Stone’s car breaking down outside the school, seeing Marinette enters decides to just attend classes for a day. He’s not that old and can totally blend in. Totally. He continues to insist as he puts on Nino’s hat and Kim’s hoodie (both offered to him) that this is going to work. It just so happens he walks in as Lila is telling the latest Jagged story. He still tries to be a student and not “blow his cover” while trying to out her

Season 5

- Marinette accidentally tripping through Peguse’s portal as Roi Singe hit him with a banana so portal malfunctioned and she ends up in the tomb room. “So…..this is…..nice flowers? I guess I can tell Adrien his mum isn’t dead….or is dead….or is being kept in the basement of some creepy fan….How do I get out?”

god the bush fire situation is so fucking devastating as an indigenous person because not only is my home being fucking ravaged by fires and has been for months, but people only seem to care about the animals.

and don't get me wrong, care about the animals! i care about the animals! they're MY native animals, they're part of my culture and home and they're living breathing creatures.

but there's so so so many things in place already to help animals, shelters and charities and sanctuaries, and by all means help them more, but the government does not care about aboriginal australians. shit, scomo doesn't give a flying fuck about anyone who isn't a white cishet able bodied christian.

aboriginal australians are losing our homes, you say people aren't endangered but WE ARE. we make up a tiny percentage of our country, and a vast majority of us live in poverty and unsafe areas. not only are we losing our homes, we're losing our identity, our lives, our families. this land means more to us than it ever will to people crying over the koalas. the koalas mean more to us than they ever will to you.

remember who lived alongside those animals for thousands of years.

there's a million things i could say about why we need help more than the animals, but in the end white people will care more about what's small and fluffy than people of colour, especially people whose land they're living on, right?

It’s New Year’s Eve in Australia! Today on the 31 December 2019 in Australian news:

4,000 people forced to shelter on the beach during midday daylight hours as the fires surround them in Victoria. The fire has since passed the beach but many homes were lost and they are still stuck on that beach.

Some families took boats to the water for safety:

The near entirety of east gippsland was evacuated on Monday and many areas remain inaccessible. That’s 30,000+ locals and assorted tourists

Similar evacuations play out in Nowra, NSW with the local population evacuating to the beaches as the skies turn black (it’s 4pm!).

and again at Bateman’s Bay…and again and again across the country.

The extent of the fires is creating dry thunderstorms - all the risks of lightning and none of the benefits of rain.

Sixty fires started today, adding to the two hundred that started on Monday. This is a map of all NEW fires in the past 24 hours

The Mogo zoo had to evacuate - thankfully the animals survived the immediate fire. People fleeing Mogo were cut off by the fires from the evacuation centres

Even those not directly in the path of the fires are experiencing the effects of the smoke as it drifts across town and effects health.

All these photos and snippets are from 31 December 2019, one day on Australia. There are more, but I’m getting depressed looking at them, trying to decide what tumblr would find interesting to share and raise awareness versus what won’t. Not a judgement call I like making.

It’s currently 6:30pm, so there’s still 5.5 hours left of this day for more to come. These fires are still going and the people in these photos are still not safe.

Australia is only four weeks into summer (”fire season”) but the bushfires began 16 weeks ago - in the second week of spring.

This year’s season of extreme bushfires is not normal.

comparing chats behavior to felix’s and concluding that he’s not nearly as bad therefor the conversation about his behavior should be shut down is just….typical

chat tried to kiss ladybug twice but backed off when she said no? great, but it shouldn’t have happened that second time

and he doesn’t have to physically try to touch her all the time for him to still be annoying and pushy, which he was for a long time. ladybug doesnt say anything against his behavior though because the narrative doesn’t think he’s wrong

this is why i ultimately disliked felix’s role. outside of introducing more secret mysterious agreste/rich people drama the show does not need, he was used as a prop to show how amazing adrien is in comparison. its applicable in terms of how nice adrien is and that he doesnt let bitterness about his mom consume him, but it deflects from the flaws he does have and the mistakes he has made. in showing a character massively overstepping a line, it distracts us from the character who would walk the edge of it.

idk i dont think we’re being overly critical when a lot of us just wanted acknowledgment that chat was on occasion disrespectful of ladybug’s constant ‘no’s’. and he was, like make no mistake about that. i cannot stress enough that it doesnt have to be full on assault in order for it to be problematic.
