A quick and dirty tutorial on batch-fixing for @lemon-tooth and anybody else who's just learning what this is after cc broke in a recent update!

Okay so for the purposes of this tutorial we'll be working with @teekalu's Eye Shine Remover, which was confirmed no longer compatible with Alien sims after EA updated a tagging system for Alien sims. I will be working with the UNMERGED package, since this is the easiest way to keep track of files when they break.

These files were just downloaded today, and as you can see have a last modification date of 2024 with the exception of the Fairy version she added in 2025. Now when I go into the game the eye shine remover works fine for me, so you might want to see if deleting + re-downloading the unmerged version works for you, but if you find it doesn't -

Download and install Sims 4 Studio

Place the items you've found broken and only those files in a folder, then use Content Management > Batch Fixes > CAS > The Sims 4 Patch 09/05/2023 Fix Alien Tags

When the dialog pops up, use the Browse buttons to indicate the folder containing the files you want to fix, and if you like, a different location for the Batch Fix backup. (NOTE: a batchfix creates a copy of the file which is updated, and moves the original file to the backup folder. if you find the batchfix breaks the file more you can revert to the original by deleting the copy and pulling the file back from the backup.)

Select RUN.

Load the game and test. If successful, you should see the change as soon as you enter CAS. If not, you may want to check deeper in your folders to see if you have something else conflicting/overriding.

I highly, highly recommend batch fixing any new downloads for just about everything on the list but especially to remove the Fashion Tags added by HSY, because that's the source of the save glitch that happened a while back. I tend to save backups until the next time I need to run batch fixes, bear in mind that file can bloat quickly.

K-303 - XMAS TRAMWAY !

As mentioned back in October when the Tramway to Hell was released, we had ideas for various paint on the tramway.

We did more than changing the colors, we added decorations ! For the festive season, get a nice red and green tramway with socks and lush garlands.

It seems that the kindness expected in this season has touched me since we might do a Simlish version ...

Base game compatible of course, this object is a replacement of the Maxis Trolley of Willow Creek. DO NOT put multiple recolors of this object at the same time 😉

Technical Difficulties Screen

Yet another niche thing but I made these for my ongoing baking show story (you'll see the usage eventually). I wanted to share them with the community so you folks can have them too. These were recreated from examples I could find online but the only part I copied directly were the colours*

Includes:

3 png files (English, Simlish + Blank One for you to fill in yourself)

Comes in both the bright original version (can be seen here) and a desaturated version (pictured) for anyone who doesn't want the bright colours.*

Simlish font is Simlish Lengiza by gazifu

Feel free to use these in recolours, stories etc as long as the content remains free! That's my only request.

I wanted to share a template for the interview post I made for Edgewave! I had hoped maybe my interview post would inspire others to make one, bc I'd love to see, but I haven't seen any (sorry if I just missed it!)

But here is a transparent png template of the camera stuff and Simlish MTV logo, if anyone wants to make an interview with their sims' band 😄 (I added it to my original post as well) Please feel free to only use certain parts of it, edit colors, or change the layout, etc. I just wanted it to be easy for others to make an interview if they wanted to.

TURN IT UP - SIMLISH MUSIC POSTERS

oh heeeeeey. i return with yet more poster cc, this time - bands! yes I HAVE done music posters before but not, like, real bands. this time we've got a plethora of artists - we're talking ABBA, Chappell Roan, The Cure, Coldplay, ACDC, Boy Genius, Elton John, Fleetwood Mack, Blondie, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, MCR, Arctic Monkeys, and everything in-between. Most of them are older bands (think 70s to 90s), but there's a couple of more modern ones too. This was so much fun and I really love the result - hopefully you do too!

Reel Estate - Simlish Movie Posters

wahooo I am back to my most beloved form of cc, wall art!!! I'm forever in need of more simlish posters, so here we are. I've just taken a load of movie posters and translated the text to simlish lol, but I think they look neat! There's a mix of genres so hopefully there's something for everyone. I'm also sharing the poster pngs if anyone wants them for something.

CU-EU Simlish MCR Shirts

Remake of a 9-year-old (!!) set I posted in 2017. With that much hindsight, I know a lot more about creating CC than I did back then, so I really did have to 100% remake it from scratch because that was just easier than trying to salvage the originals lol

I also included every possible age conversion (meshes are included), whereas the originals were adult sims only. All ages/genders are repositoried to AF, so the AF files are required for the textures to appear on the rest.

Another thing is that transparent PNG versions of all the graphics I edited/created in order to make these shirts are included inside the .zip folder. So if you have other ideas for where to put them, they're ready to go.

So I've been wanting to make the PNGs for my simlish posters available for a while and since I'm in the middle of another round, I gathered up all the available ones I have (including some ones you'll see in the next poster release!) and put them into a google drive folder for you to peruse and use in your own cc.
