Butch Meadows Remember Poppy who I shared a couple months ago? Well, I’ve been playing that save file since then and thought it’d be cool to share each generation as they become adults. So here is Poppy’s only child, Butch. Butch was conceived in an elevator when his parents, Poppy and Jimmy, had a drunken one night stand after meeting online. While they decided to give the relationship a proper go, Jimmy was unfortunately crushed by a Murphy bed when Butch was just a baby. Though he never really knew him, Poppy gave Butch his late father’s old drum kit for his birthday one year, inspiring a lifelong love of music, which was further nurtured by his musical stepfather Jeffrey. Poppy Meadows Started a new Sims 3 legacy save, and this is my founder, Poppy Meadows. Unfortunately won’t be sharing the gameplay for this one here on my blog after all (sorry!) but figured I’d share her for download anyway. Poppy is an 18 year old who recently left the care system, which she'd been in since she was 13 after her mother passed away, and having never known her father. She is resourceful and creative, but seems to have a chip on her shoulder and a particular distaste for authority. Having recently moved into her new home in Mayfield Springs, Poppy feels like the world is full of possibilities. What will she do with it? Moorington, Ms. - Ms. Moorington is the winner of the "Teacher of the Year" three years in a row. It seems that she bribed her students with candy and let them go wild in the classroom. The Sim who gets this chance card can either stop it or make it worse. When Ms. Moorington is busted by the teachers, they quickly take away her title as the "Teacher of the Year".

Initially I planned on Ms. Moorington being an irresponsible party-loving teacher (think like the movie Bad Teacher, or Miss Mackenzie from Busted’s What I Go To School For). Somewhere along the way though, she ended up becoming a divorcee who’s going through a tough time and just wanted a break from teaching the class. (I’m uh, ignoring the fact that this supposedly went on for at least three years. 🤫) Tagging @lyoufln​ if you wanna try this!

How long have you been playing the Sims? Been playing the main series since 2008 when I got Sims 2 Double Deluxe for Christmas, although if I remember correctly I think I had the Sims 2 DS game (the one where you run a hotel) before that? Although that could’ve still been 2008, so around then I suppose. How long have you been a simblr and why did you become one? Had a simblr since 2016 (I think!), although I had a Sims Livejournal before that from 2012. As for why I started blogging Sims, I honestly can’t remember. I know I had seen a couple Sims machinimas which opened me up to the idea of being able to share your Sims games, and I also read crushthecamera’s Electorate which I loved, and that was probably a gateway into Sims stories. I guess I must’ve gone looking for more stories like that when I stumbled on the legacychallenge group on Livejournal and just thought it’d be cool to take part I guess. And then I think I came over to Tumblr because it seemed like everyone else was ditching Livejournal for Tumblr and I ain’t nothing if not a sheep. What type of simblr are you? Fuck knows. Right now, mostly (crap) building, although I’m seriously considering sharing some (very) short more story-oriented things using a writing prompt book I’ve had gathering dust for years. I’m sure one day I’ll cycle back to my simblr roots, which is vaguely story-oriented legacies. Which generation of Sims do you primarily play? Mostly Sims 4 right now. 1) Large black Pokémon t-shirts. Tops that touch my body too much make me feel incredibly insecure, plus I’m overweight, so I have to get bigger tops than I need on top of already needing big tops. Mum bought me a Pikachu top years ago that was perfect so now I always order from the same place because I trust them so literally all my tops have Pokémon on them. 🤷 2) Holes. Yes okay, I’ve had this top five years and the bottom of it has so many holes in it that I keep hooking myself on drawer handles but it’s still good okay? 😡 Doesn’t help that I have to use the bottom of shirts to open door handles and things so that makes the holes appear a lot quicker too. BUT IT’S FINE. 3) Jeans. Again, found a style and cut that fit me and are comfortable and I just order the exact same pair again and again and again. I decided to use Rocky Meadows for this challenge as I don’t have an active save file right now while I’m experimenting with building. It was surprisingly hard to find an outfit with just the right shade of purple, and it’s still not perfect, but boy am I glad I managed to find stuff she would probably actually wear. Although perhaps it would’ve been more interesting to see her in something she would have never chosen? Maybe next time. There aren’t 9 sims because I honestly don’t make that many sims, but you can pretty much get the idea of the type of sim I tend to make. Truthfully I was kind of putting off doing this tag in particular because I knew what it was gonna look like, and that’s a whole lot of slim white women. I definitely need to make a point to get out of my comfort zone and make more diverse sims, in terms of ethnicity, gender, and body type. But I knew that already.
