i don't remember s1 perfectly but didn't it established that ed signed with x bc he couldn't read and now he finds stede's letters. really tho just correct me if i'm wrong. maybe i remember too much fanon and the actual stuff

I’m screaming about it all day long. He couldn’t write (and I guessed he couldn’t read either). I guess there was an outtake after the letter was read aloud by the English explaining he heard the contents, but never actually read them before reuniting with his boyfriend. Stede could read it to him then.

I KNOW making a step back was a right thing to do. It doesn’t necessarily mean there’s no future for the co-captains. Even this season promos have some promising shots (or is it another dream sequence? oh my, we’re not going back to the Force FaceTime era?!)

Nevertheless, my heart is a bit broken once again, because, yes, I wish things could magically get better with a kiss and a night together. But there’s no happily ever after before you fix yourself. Love alone cannot heal us. And both Ed and Stede need to find their true identities and overcome their crises before getting back together.

But.

BUT.

I just want them to have more time as a couple, because life is so fkng short…

I do project my own personal issues here as well. Sure, it’s coping. And I must thank authors for the brilliant narration they provide us with. I hope every lovebird on Revenge can heal eventually. And find a mutually pleasing path to be together with their significant others.

If red fabrics (red shirt specifically) represent Ed’s heart, is the « cursed » jacket ‘blackbeard’s heart’ ? The jacket that nearly hide all of the shirt under it ? with jewelry and pearl that draw your attention away from the shirt, that killed a whole ship, that Stede want to keep but the crew want to throw away. The thing that Stede accept to let go but he refuses to let the shirt go to.

I know that Lucius' proposal to Pete was one of the highlights of this week on OFMD. But I believe it’s a premise to some drama. Let me explain

Pete doesn’t get the new disenchanted Lucius. He’s toxic. He’s unstable. Yet Lucius proposes to Pete in an attempt to go back and recreate his old self

But kindness hasn’t worked with his PTSD before. Neither with his amputation nor with his abandonment. And you know who gets both issues? Who can turn his aggression into flirting? Bring that sorrowful spice to the table? A literal origin story of Lucius' villain? Oh, boy…

He won’t be happy to realise it. And I’m somehow convinced they will go down with their mutual attraction. It’s been there for some time

Levels of fan service in three premiere episodes of OFMD season 2 is something else. And I’m living for it

Anthony Crowley graduated Slytherin. He used to play guitar in an infamous rock band made of his college mates. Has been sober for 15 years. Anthony teaches Herbology, but as his second major was Astronomy, he tries to apply for the position every year - never gets the job though.

Aziraphale Fell is a former Head Boy of Ravenclaw, veteran Auror and Hogwarts' librarian. Headmistress regularly offers him a promotion to teach DADA, but he prefers to attend to the books and politely denies every time.

Edward Teach, a Gryffindor, had a prolific career as a quidditch chaser - despite being expelled on his sixth year. He had to quit professional sports later in life due to his irreparable knee injury. He became a coach and flying instructor at Hogwarts.

Stede Bonnet graduated Hufflepuff. His pure-blood father disowned him for becoming a robe designer. Indeed, Stede wasn’t a good entrepreneur, went broke and had to reapply his storytelling talents as Hogwarts’ History of Magic professor.
