He did not feel that sacrifice a vain or empty one… and we will not debate his profound wisdom at these proceedings. Of my friend, I can only say this. Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, …his was the most …human.

He created hope and love in all of us, and gave this generation and so many more to come a vision that we can all better ourselves. Those words apply to Leonard Nimoy greatly. Wise, and very human. R.I.P Leonard Nimoy.

Goodbye to my favorite science officer.

Leonard Nimoy, who played Spock on the original Star Trek series, died today. Nimoy invented the Vulcan salute himself. He was inspired by the Jewish Priestly Blessing he had seen at an Orthodox synagogue.
