“Mm.” he murmured against her mouth, gathering her into his arms and running his fingers through the hair at her nape. “Kagome…” He kissed her softly, then with more pressure, feeling his blood heat. His lips parted to encourage hers to do the same. Kagome took a breath, pulling back a moment.

“Inuyasha?” she breathed softly. He hummed again to let her know he’d heard her. Her arms slid up to his shoulders and tugged him close… only to rain little kisses across his nose and cheeks. She was giggling as she did it, her soft lips peppering his skin. The inuhanyou couldn’t help a chuckle at her antics despite the “mood” having been changed. “I love you,” she puffed against his nose before placing one last kiss there.

Inuyasha was a little startled when she initiated a fierce kiss, quickly returning them to their former heated moment almost as though nothing had happened.

By all that was holy, how he loved this woman.
