So I have started talking to this person. And...it's silly, but the moment we started talking, it was like flint and steel meeting. And so it's not necessarily anything real serious, at the moment we're just getting to know each other and being flirty and whatnot. But it's so nice to connect with someone like this.

I've been talking with my therapist about how to remain grounded in myself, my feelings, my values, my wants, while also connecting with people. And I talked about how scary its become to connect with people, because I don't know how to trust myself to not lose myself or not ignore my gut when I enjoy someone's company.

That's been something I've been heavily thinking and working on since the divorce and it feels like I've gotten to a good place doing that. However, the only way to know and to actually strengthen those muscles is to connect with people and put those skills into real life practice. I've been doing that with my new friends, and I feel like I can trust myself to do that with F.

Life goes on. It keeps moving and I keep growing and working on my shit and building towards a life I actually want to live in.
