My last stand

Imagine me on the TF!battlefield. The flag I have been fighting for the past few months just burned down, bullets are flying over my head, I am heaving, out of breath, reloading the last bullet in my weapon and take aim at the sky. It isn't a bullet. Its a flare. My last stand, my last attempt to have hope. and I yell out over the battlefield.

AJ IS AN ASSHOLE AND DESERVES TO BE SLAPPED IN THE FACE MORE THAN ONCE, BUT SHE HAS DONE THIS TO PROTECT DRIFT FROM HER AND THE REBELS. SHE SECURED DRIFT FROM THE REBELS THAT WILL BE AFTER HER AS WELL AS HER OWN KINGDOM.

AND ONCE AJ HEARS THAT DRIFT HAS BEEN TAKEN BY THE ROYAL GUARDS OF HER KINGDOM SHE WILL REFLECT AND DECIDE TO COME FOR DRIFT. AND AJ WILL CARE, SHE WILL LOVE DRIFT BECAUSE ALL SHE DID TODAY WAS LIE.

and with that, me, a broken body made from music and ash, will drop to the ground. And I will close my eyes with the hope my fellow soldiers have heard my cry and keep on fighting the battle ahead.

i really want drift to come back from the forest kind of deranged but settled. like her skin is muddy, her cloak is torn, her crown barely glows anymore, but she walks through those doors with a face carved from stone and takes absolutely no shit from anyone. she's finally sleeping again, her powers are stronger, and despite everything she's been through– drift has never felt more connected to herself and the earth. she knows exactly what she wants and who she is now. also the next time her and aj get a 1 on 1, i need her to crash out so bad and nuke aj because ITGETSWORSE
