Poor old Lizzy was put to sleep today
âFor being a Pitt-bull type - sheâs not really anything âtypeâ just a massive sweetheart ~ somewhere there is a home for every hound. We failed this dog and we neednât. I know that itâs hard and there is always a few bad eggs no matter who they are what breed man or animal. And particularly dogs which have become attracted to the type of person that believes that itâs ok or cool to have a dog that is a status symbol. But the Pittbull isnât even a breed. Itâs a cross breed of different types of bull terrier. It is one of the most loving and loyal creatures on the planet. That would do anything for its owner. We need more responsible owners. More awareness and de stigmatising this poor creature. There are too many many many many gentle and loving creatures unnecessarily suffering for the actions of the few because of our ignorance. And itâs cruel. One is not all. Every dog has its day. And every dog is different. In this day we ought to know better. We trash anything really. If we can fix the problem or solve a puzzle we discard it and move on. People and animals. Sometimes itâs a sensible thing to do in order to survive. But if it was our own. Something or one we loved then we might be open to seeing what we are doing. We would make more of an effort to try to exhaust all options to make a change. Is it the simplest and easiest option to just waste our friends or potential problems or are we just not bothered to find a better way to solve the issue. And if we donât bother what does that say about us. Bye Lizzy for now. I hope I see you on the other side for a play. You werenât a bad dog or anything like the type of âDevil dogâ at all. I could see that the moment I saw you myself. I pray for better ⊠I pray that you are in a better place now than this you poor bugger. And I pray we learn to be more understanding and humane. Perhaps we are guilty after all of further perpetuating this nonsense and vicious cycle. Iâm truly sorry for what weâve done to youâ

Itâs just crazy that theyâre not even given a chance and we who love dogs get really frustrated because we canât do anything about it. One of the worst things as well is that itâs accepted in society that some man can come in and just point at a dog and their life has to end. No real test not really just that looks like a Pittbull - it dies ~ Itâs sick.
Itâs really nice that i spent some time with her though and at least made her happy for whatever time she had left xxxx but thatâs ⊠Thatâs not enough is it ~ not for me and certainly not for Lizzy and other beautiful loving loyal misunderstood and much maligned beautiful creatures just like her. Utter fkn rubbish.
Theyâre magic
âNot bad at all ~ anyone worth knowing and loving is a bit complicated but the reward of effort and responsibility is an enduring truthful love. Wake up get responsible earn your rights to make grown up choices ~ donât Palm off your own negligence and immaturity on the one without a voice or a choice. Destroying is not the solution. Itâs inhumane lazy and should only be a very last resort.  We should Tackle the root causes of dog ownership rather than let someone pick up the pieces or turn a blind eye ~ because it doesnât affect you in the immediate it actually does. If we can do it to them and we do it to people too itâs not a great day to be asleep. We create this and let it happen because itâs easier to ignore due to our busy lives. But itâs actually a more insidious reflection of also how we treat one another.  People really do need to grow up we all do. Yet another example of our lack of humanity and wasteful behaviour. Itâs just a dog ⊠My fkn ass. You can tell a lot about people by the way they treat their own.

"Titch needs a home loads of dogs do ~ Titch is my personal favourite ~ but thereâs more Patch is a cool dog too and Sidney. Plenty of great bullies and crosses at Battersea. Help rehome and re instate the bullie crossbreeds serious kind dog owners who love really smart characters and loving long term friends and companions. All dogs give back. Thousand fold. Am working on the Missus to have Titch see if you can beat me to it because he needs the break. Great cuddler. Big dog but that doesnât mean he needs a palace. Just a walky cuddles and feeding and a sofa and some mates and love and a bit of common sense :- worth the effort this one has total Tommy golden stamp of approvalâ
