Autumn feels
Everyone deserves a soulmate
“I have found both freedom and safety in my madness; the freedom of loneliness and the safety from being understood, for those who understand us enslave something in us.”
—
Kahlil Gibran
entheognosis:
And yet, those who understand us and are not frightened away are our dearest friends
We only have this world.
I know many of you out there are feeling a bit down. Have a crow to Wouldn’t it be Nice by the Beach Boys to lift your mood.
He stops and looks both ways?!?
You wanna know what makes this better?
Crows normally walk. This one seems to have both legs working, so he’s not hopping out of necessity, he’s doing it for fun. You’ll see corvids playing like this sometimes, doing things for no evident reason other than because they enjoy it.
I needed this! How about you?

“Yin and yang, male and female, strong and weak, rigid and tender, heaven and earth, light and darkness, thunder and lightning, cold and warmth, good and evil…the interplay of opposite principles constitutes the universe.”

It's valid to: - Take breaks from your practice - Not practice every day - Not meditate every day - Not make offerings all the time - Have huge rituals for spells - Not know everything - Use substitutes - Not have every tool - Re-use spell jars - Buy your own deck - Not have a set path - Go a completely different path - Not have a label for your practice ⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅⋅•⋅
Do not beat yourself up or wear yourself down. YOU are the key to YOUR own magic.

Think of all animals, wild or domestic as characters like these. If you neighbors cat dressed up, what would she wear? Does that cricket have a top hat somewhere? If that bird was carrying a pouch, what would be in it? The world and environment around you belongs to them as much as you. Don’t mess it up.
Some witch: * fills a glass jar with crystals, herbs, salt, and glitter, then chucks it in a bush in their local park *
The jar: * breaks *
The salt and glitter: * spills into the soil *
The soil: * becomes infertile *
Plant: * dies *
Some animal: * gets hurt on the broken glass *
Another animal: *chokes on the lid ring *
The nature spirits: "what the actual fuck"
The witch: "why isnt my spell working :(((("
You could use a small brown paper bag, or if you want to get fancy make your own bag from cotton or linen cloth. You can choose a color that corresponds with whatever you are doing. Put everything that isn’t harmful in the bag and stitch it shut (keep intent in mind while you sew). Place the bag on a windowsill (if possible, or place where natural light will fall on it. Place your crystal or crystals on top of the bag. If you must use glitter, sprinkle it on now. Let the bag absorb energy from the sun or moon and crystals for at least 3 hours (you can pick a fortuitous number for this). Then put your crystals away, shake the glitter into the garbage, and place your bag carefully where it won’t be seen and will do no harm.
Skip the salt, it represents earth in many cases so if your burying something or leaving it outside, just use dirt.
Glitter isn’t good for anything but to be pretty. If you must have sparkles, how about a little (very little! ) sand.
Think about the place you are going to put whatever, then find out what would be good for the place.
Don’t put anything in a hollowed out fruit or veg that will harm the animal that eats it.
