Introduction post!

Hi, y'all! My name is Sam. I'm 25 and I currently reside in the inland northwest area of the US. I've been into Ghost since 2018 but never really interacted with the fandom so I decided now's finally the time to get out there and maybe make some friends, so I made this sideblog! (Main is @balancedpluto)

This page will probably mainly just be reblogs (I don't have the skill in art or writing like so many of you lovelies seem to) but I might be inspired to do some cosplay content at some point or another?

I adore the creature that is Perpetua, the unhinged behavior on stage, all the mannerisms that make him seem a little odd and maybe even non-human

But I have a soft spot for Perpetua being a kind, gentle soul. I love headcanoning that due to his past with religion, he has a special kind of understanding that the previous Papas lack. He's been through the toxic side of mainstream religions, so he understands what drives people to the Ministry. He's seen the abuse, been through it. He sees himself in new siblings and their stories. He'll sit for hours with them listening to them vent and get it all out and offers advice because he knows from experience how hard it can be and that it will eventually get better. He's gentle and soft-spoken and something about him makes it feel safe to open up. He'll comfort you and hold you if you need it, he probably carries a small bag of candy in case someone needs a pick-me-up snack

Sometimes it feels like he's two completely different people. There's Papa V, the stage persona, the wild side of him. And then there's Perpetua, the quiet, observant and kind man who will always be free to listen to your worries.

This took me a laughable amount of time to do. Like, days. It’s based off an old Betty and Veronica comic and then I turned her into my Ghost Sister of Sin OC, Runa, but with glasses because…I have glasses 🤭 Anyway, I’m starting to be obsessed with the likes of Ruttu Ruttu and pinup art. Not even for the subject matter but the flowy flicks of lines that tell as much as detailed work. I have a long way to go to practice but try one is done

I heard that before your identity was revealed, your mother used to proudly tell everyone that her son was “a singer in the band Ghost”?

(laughs) Yes, it’s true. Well, she’s my mom, so sometimes she broke that unwritten rule to keep it all a secret, but it’s fine, everyone knows the truth now anyway. I remember a really funny situation involving my children, though. Ghost was about to play a concert in our hometown, so the walls in the city centre were full of posters with Papa Emeritus’ face on them. One of my children noticed the poster and shouted excitedly, “Ooooh, it’s daddy!” and the other one immediately rushed to shush them, whispering, “No, no, we don’t talk about this - it’s a secret!” (laughs) I told them that if they want to talk about it, I’m not going to stop them. After all, I want them to be proud of their dad!
