absolutely nothing could ever make me hate alexia. i will always just hope and wish for her happiness and peace in life no matter what that looks like. and always grateful for everything she’s given and will continue to give to women’s football 🤍

part of being a legend is knowing when to leave, it hurts right now and it would’ve always hurt whether now or later on in her career (whether that was retirement instead) but it will be okay 🤍

‘i have emptied myself’ and it breaks my heart hearing that, she really did always give her all and this season is just one season of that. mental fatigue is really awful and there is always nothing i want more than for players to do what is best for them, physically and mentally. they owe us nothing at the end of the day but we owe them, we owe alexia everything for what she’s given and done with her career 🤍

she came back from such a devastating injury to the form she’s currently in and that definitely would’ve taken such a toll on her as well. so while it hurts and it’s so sad and upsetting seeing her leave barcelona, i also deep down very much understand

i just want alexia to be happy 🤍
