First post of 2022! It’s been a busy month but a happy one. But I am glad to be back at the painting desk. Nothing like some watercolours and self indulgent character art of your own OC’s
still not over how much I love this
Posts that would kill a peasant from 1173
Mephistopheles and Margaretta, A Double Statue - medium: sculpture, sycamore wood, sculptor unknown, 19th century. Currently located in the Salar Jung Museum in Hyderabad, India.
i’ve reblogged posts featuring these two separately, but they go great together
Frost.
We had a little snow the other day, the nice fluffy kind that sticks to all the branches and sparkles in the sun.
Quil.
After inktober ended, I had planned on starting a prompt list with mini watercolour paintings featuring animals, since I have loved Beatrix Potter since I was a little kid. I had wanted to keep up my good rhythm I made during October. But I got hit with 2 personal tragedies in just over a week, so it’s been a struggle to get back into painting. Hopefully I can get back into a nice grove (if life can just chill lol)
Voxtober 31: Ascend.
The big bad himself Vecna to end the month. I even dug out my old anatomy book for some reference for this creepy dude. Proud of myself for getting all 31 drawings done during inktober this year!
Voxtober day 30: Ruler.
Uriel the 3rd, last monarch of Emon. His death was sad, the whole attack on Emon was crazy!
Voxtober day 29:Explosive
Victor the black powder maker, and one of the funniest npcs of campaign 1!
Voxtober day 28: Taken.
Velora, younger half sister to Vex and Vax.
Voxtober day 27: Deceipt.
Raishan, the green dragon. She was a fun villain and thankfully the last dragon I’m drawing
Voxtober day 26: Conclave.
Umbrysel and Vorugal, 2 of the 5 dragons that made up the Chroma Conclave. I plan on doing something a little special with Raishan tomorrow, mostly cause dragons are not my strong suit and I chose to do 4 of them
Voxtober day 25: Burn.
The Mighty Thordak. I am not great at dragons lol but I tried. I forgot to post this after I finished it yesterday….oops!
Voxtober day 23 & 24: Favour and Vengeance.
The unsettling Senokir and angry kitty/shapeshifting rackshassa Hotis. I worked all day yesterday and got struck by a wicked headache so I doubled up today. Both were inked by hand and coloured digitally, hopefully the last 7 will be traditional!
Voxtober day 22: Slayers.
Another digital piece, this time the dynamic duo Zahra and Kashaw. I soooo want Mary Elizabeth and Will Ferdell back as guest stars in campaign 3!
Voxtober day 21: Alliance.
A spooky late night digital Clary (Clarota) that I have been working on while watching campaign 3!! Cause of time zones it started at 10pm for me so I am going to be staying up late and be tired tomorrow😅
Electric bill is $0.77 a month.
God i would kill for that setup
Lmao, no, you wouldn’t. When you realized how much work goes into it beyond stupid little clips of breakfast making. You’d miss the one nob on your gas/electric stove.
I know exactly how much work goes into it, and for me its a labor of love. Something like this takes a lot more love and intention to use, and thats what i specifically like about it.
Please don’t come onto a post i made 3 months ago and assume i don’t know what id be getting myself into.
You mean sometimes people enjoy things that are a little more difficult than modern convenience??
Id kill for this setup too.
My house is partially heated by a wood stove. It’s work but it isn’t a crazy workload. Like check it a few times a day to throw a log in. If you keep it going and bank it right before bed, it doesn’t take much to get the fire going in the morning. Nothing is better than sitting in my chair by the stove with a book, with the pets sprawled out in front, and a pot of stew or cider bubbling away. Also very useful if you live in the countryside and lose power on occasion.
